Winegard Co., will get some major television time during the 2007 NASCAR Busch Series schedule as a sponsor.

The Burlington–based business will have its logo on the hood of John Andretti's No. 10 Toyota for two races — April 20 at Phoenix and July 14 at Chicagoland Speedway.

"It gives us more exposure, and it allows us to get our name out," said Aaron Engberg, manager of Winegard's Mobile Products Division.

Winegard officials were approached by officials from Camping World, Andretti's primary sponsor. Winegard supplies a number of its mobile entertainment products to Camping World, a supplier of RV and camping equipment.

"When they came to us, it seemed like something we wanted to get involved with," Engberg said. "It allows us to get our name out into the RV market, something we want to expand our role in. We can reach out to our current customers, and try to lure new customers."

Andretti will be racing a Toyota Camry in the Busch Series this year as a part of the Braun Racing team.

The Winegard sponsorship will extend beyond the two hood appearances. The logo will appear on a decal on the bar next to the driver's side window on Andretti's car for the season, as well as on Busch Series champion Kevin Harvick for 10 races.

"We want to get more involved in the NASCAR scene to promote our television reception products for RVs," Engberg said. "One of the things we have gotten out of this is at some of the meetings we've had, we've been able to meet with other NASCAR team owners. This is good for us to get our foot in the door."

Part of the sponsorship agreement includes a visit by Andretti to the Winegard facility in Burlington.

"We haven't worked out the details yet, but he will be coming here this year," Engberg said.

The race at Chicagoland Speedway is also being planned as a big event for Winegard.

"We want it to be a community thing," Engberg said.

Busch Series races will be televised on ESPN this season.

"That gives us a chance to reach a national audience," Engberg said.

Andretti is a veteran driver, but in his first full season on the Busch Series last year, he finished 13th in points and second in the rookie point standings.

Andretti was the first driver to complete the double duty of racing in the Indianapolis 500 and the Coca–Cola 600 on the same day. He finished fifth in the 1991 Indianapolis 500, and won the Pepsi 400 in 1997, one of his two victories in NASCAR's premier series.
