For the most part I have been withholding on really talking about the 922 as it is a beta product running beta software.

However today I am changing that stance just a tiny bit...

The 922 is almost ready and these screen shots below prove it.

We got a new software update overnight ASN1 that has seemed to focus a lot on the Sling side of things.

And now I am proud and EXCITED that the 922 now Slings in FULL HD. :)

Take a look at the screen shots below.

This is an amazing step forward on the 922! This thing is almost ready for PRIMETIME!

Hats off to the engineering team on a great release!

Does the 922's Sling component have the same 3Mbps minimum internet uplink requirement as the Sling-Pro HD?

Here are a few more HD clips I got off of HBO which is show Mulan Rouge.

I am very impressed with the HD quality I am seeing via Sling on the 922!

Nice. I've been watching a lot of soccer lately because of FSC in HD, picture looks great.

Same here, Saturday mornings and Soccer in HD have been great.

Now how soon can we expect to finally see the 922 ready for customers!!

The Sling access from the PC looks good. Is that using the web browser or the Sling app? The app used to work for me, but now I have to use the browser.

The iPhone app picture looks slightly better, but I can't change channels without getting an error now.

That's via the web browser. You need to go to the Dish Remote Access to see the picture in HD, if you go to watch.slingbox.com it does not work.

Haven't tried with the app yet, but suspect it wont work due to the new Flash Streaming which is not built into the desktop player yet.

I am changing channels fine via my iPhone.

Anyone know the codec and bit rates or what Dish does to the original signal to Sling it say another TV? I'm wondering how the quality of say OTA on a 922 would compare to showing the Slinged version on the same TV.

I am guessing this is using the brand new Flash codec that they announced at CES, and is the first product to use that new codec.

I will say that on my internal network the sling picture looks almost as good on my laptop as it does on my TV. I am VERY impressed!

So the Sling solution does not appear to be a good solution for getting HD from one box to multiple rooms assuming you have 50"+ HDTVs in the different rooms? Looking good on a laptop is one thing, but on 57" TV is another.

Flash Streaming would that have to to with the web browser??

Perhaps those who crave MLB could go VIA MLBTV???

Scott.....In your opinion does the picture look better coming from the 922 where it is an all digital signal going out from the sling to the web or when you connect say a 722 to a slingbox pro hd where the signal goes from digital to analog back to digital using the component video inputs.....
