YouTube TV removed Disney's networks as much as 30 minutes before the previous carriage deal expired at the stroke of midnight ET, after the two sides remain far apart on a deal renewal to keep ABC, ESPN and more on the internet TV service. The main sticking point is price — Disney is asking for rate hikes that Google isn't willing to agree to.

Youtube did not drop the Disney Networks.
"Google's pay TV platform said in a blog post late Thursday that Disney had followed through on a threat to suspend its content amid the negotiations."

If I was a subscriber, and I bet millions other would agree, I'd take a $20 a month drop in price ongoing to $69.99 without the Disney channels.
Too early for me, I didn't even notice the title from Variety was worded to blame Google.

Here's the full list of networks being pulled from YouTube TV: ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPNews, Freeform, FX, FXX, FXM, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, SEC Network, Nat Geo, Nat Geo Wild, ABC News Live, ACC Network, Localish; on the Spanish plan, ESPN Deportes, Baby TV Español and Nat Geo Mundo.

All junk channels.

REALLY ????

You think ABC isn't making money from Football ?????
Well, I didn't say one way or the other, but my understanding was Disney makes most of their money from their parks and cruise lines these days. The TV stuff is technically profitable, but not nearly as much as it used to be.

I was mainly talking about how much money is wasted on college football, whether Disney is involved or not.

I don 't understand why you think it is "Wasted" on Football ?

Would you rather have the 7000 different "Reality Shows" on instead ?

At least the Football is LIVE and REAL.

How much longer before college athletics, especially pigball, costs so much more than it's worth that something is actually done about it? Like, abolition?

I doubt many folks attend a particular school for the jock games. Outside of the jocks.
