I will never do business with directv again.

moving is when you pack up your stuff and bring it to a different residence. now if you can backup your claim that I ever lied to directv about my addrss please do.
And If I believed you really did move. You would have said in your very 1st post that ,you moved and used the movers connection,Instead you said your upgrading using the "movers" Option. Then 5 or 6 posts later , when people started to catch on ,then you claimed you "REALLY MOVED" I DON"T BUY IT FOR A SECOND!

wow, your reading comprehension sucks. i doubt I would have been able to use the movers connection had I not moved. think about what you are saying, it just doesnt make any sense.

>>I recently wanted to upgrade to HD and also use the movers package

If I hadnt moved, how did I use the movers package?

didn't i read a few posts back that some astute member of satguys found a post from this same guy boasting how he ``moved'' with dishnetwork to get local hd channels. what's that old saying.....if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and looks like a duck, its a duck.

So why go through Customer retension,I've been a customer for only 4 Years and got an upgrade for HR-20 for $150 when they were $300 and just got another HR-20 for free 2 months ago, For complaining about E* crappy service. Something doesn't add up. I don't know if maybe your just another E* customer starting trouble,Because a number have asked you to show a copy of your bill, and I've yet to see it. Your Providing NO proof for your complaint at all.

Thats my point, If it happend with E* why would I think he or she wouldn't do it with D*

again, your talking out of your *&%. I provided a copy of all of the charges directly off of the account earlier. I went thru customer retention because I was going to cancel the service had we not made a deal. The only thing that doesnt add up is all of the speculation that is being made up by people like you because of a totally unrelated matter. Im not even a dish network customer anymore. yes I changed my service address while I was a dish customer so that I could record two things off of a major network at the same time. big deal. That has nothing to do with directv, Ive never once lied to directv about my address, there was absolutely no reason for me to lie about it. I was offered a deal and did not receive it from directv. you can make all the specualtion that you want, but that is the matter at hand regardless of any situation that you want to dream up.

actually, hemi, i believe he did post his bill a few pages back because i remember seeing it.

like I said, I have no reason to do it with Directv. the directv dvr is capable of recording two OTA showsor watching and recording different shows OTA at the same time. This was not possible with dish and the reason why so many change their service address to receive the 4 majors on one of the conus beams.

Well good luck to you !

OK lets see. So because its not possible with a certain provider...that makes cheating OK? Bottom line, you're receiving illegal channels. Get real.

As for your other problem, I have a feeling you've been around this game for a while. You should have done like I did. After making my original order for my HR20 I called back twice to confirm that order and spoke with 2 different csr's before delivery. That way I was confident I was going to get what I wanted. Just common sense.

its way back in this thread but i'm not sure just where. i remember a 199 charge for an hr20 plus a 100 gen retention credit and stuff like sports hd and such plus sunday ticket.
After 10 years 100 dollars is not generous. They gave it to me for the cost of shipping after only a few years of being a customer. Far less than 10 years.

He cant, the Dtv agreement states you agree to arbitration.
I bet he can. He signed no contract. I have written plenty of clauses into contracts that just don't fly when lawyers get ahold of it. Why do people automatically assume that everything in a contract is enforcable? Especially one that isnt signed.

well directv finally came across, sort of. after quite a few emails they offered a 50 dollar credit, which is fine like I stated earlier. It was more about principle than anything else. I still have a bad taste in my mouth over this, mostly because of the first few csr's attitudes and the fact that they called me a liar, but i at least feel a little better about the situation because I didnt get ripped off completely.

Oh I don’t know maybe because Directv had lawyers write it, He signed it when he activated the receiver.

If you look on your bill its there on the back or a sheet of paper with the first statement, the installer tells you as well.

You dont have to sign a thing, taking the service is all thats required, sure he can go to court but they will just throw it out and tell him to arbitrate.
