The new wives thread. And an off the wall question

She aint lying.

I had, and still have, an alarm that actually shakes the matress.
I also had an old school bell alarm, and several digital clocks. Plus the cell phone and the computer set to wake me up.

I would still oversleep from time to time.

I remember a few times all of those were going off and I wole up an hour later.
If I can get to bed before a hurricane hits, I can sleep right through it.

I cant however go to sleep if bad weather is happening.

yeah, well, at least if I'm sleeping on the couch, I won't have to worry about being hit in the middle of the night.

Note: HiFi didn't mean to hit me, he was sleeping. And it didn't hurt, it just woke me up. I, however, kick in my sleep, so he does have to worry about that. One time I kicked the window and our windowshade flew up, waking us both. I laughed so hard when that happened.

I can sympathize on the hitting. MSmith has elbowed me in the eye a couple of times, and come close several more without even knowing it until I told him the next morning. He is a very hard sleeper. He literally had 8 alarm clocks next to his bed before we got married, and would still oversleep. (not kidding)

you all need a king size bed. ever since i got one three years ago i've been kick free

yeah the sever lightning will keep me up.the other night we had a sever thunderstorm which began around 1 am. this bolt struck very close to the house. close enough to wake me and almost crap my pants!

I have been struck before, which is why I will stay up during a storm. Cant help it.

But if I kow one is coming, I will try to go to sleep early. I will sleep like a baby through the worst. Never know it happend.

Has anyone ever had a car hit their house, right where their bedroom is at? Then the DumbA** backed out and just left. Not fun for us. And I had just moved my son's crib across the room, thank God, the day before, otherwise it could have been more serious than it was.

Wow, no that never happend to me.

The place we ate today however had a car smash through the front door a few years ago. Right at the cash register. No one hurt.

wow! the closes i ever came to a bolt was as a child. it struck only a few feet away and amazingly i was not hurt. i can tell you it looks very different when the bolt hits the ground. it's something i have never forgotten. i was afraid of lightining for many years until i was 18 or 19 years old. i'm fine now but the similarities between me and you are creepy i think we really are clones but seriously my experience pales in comparison to yours smith. OMG! LORD! you have any special powers we should know about?

Frank Jr.? well, i do love sleeping while it's raining heavily. i don't mind the lighting as much as i mind the very loud sound it makes if close by

yeah but there have been some cases the driver wasn't intoxicated. so if the person wasn't drunk then where did they think they were going? a wendy's?
