Yep, I am freeing pretty good about being 6-games up here on September 5th. We're heading out shortly to take-in a nature walk, have lunch in Old Town Alexandria, and watch the Washington Nationals game (aka Senators) this evening. I think I'll take my camera a snap a few photos.

Go Tigers!!!

Biggest lead of the season now.

Despite Todd Jones's best effort to give the game away yesterday, we still won. Verlander is definitely on the short list for the Cy Young award.

Nice pitching by Robertson two days ago too.

Verlander is being talked about , but no one seems to be mentioning him to be a front runner, they keep calling Grenke still, I would like to think that JV would get it over Grenke, Grenke had an incredible start but his team has LOST more than they've won of the starts he's made.

IMHO, the way the Tigers are playing this season is how they were expected to do last year.

I guess the lack of expectations really helped.

I don't think "Expectations" had anything to do with it.

The pitching should be good EVERY year, the Offense has let them down BIG time this year and last.

Tiger's fell behind Tampa by 3 runs twice tonight and have fought back and taken the lead and now lead 8-6 in the ninth.

Twins and Wh. Sox also won today.

Nice to see the Tigers come back to win one on the road last night. On a side note, here are some pics I took yesterday (not of the Tigers).

That game was like a Leyland v. Madden boxing match. Tons of pitching changes, pinch hitters, pinch runners, a squeeze play, hit/run, especially in the 8th. Quite a game and a great comeback for the Tigers to keep that 6 game lead.

Tampa makes more pitching changes than any team I've ever seen, I think they used 3 or 4 pitchers in ONE inning the other night.
