I just called the 888 number. After some delay they gave me a $2.00 X 10 episode credit for missing Breaking Bad and said they would adjust again for later series if the dispute wasn't resolved. I have the AEP and don't know if that played in their action.

I received the same email. Haven't called yet, however, did send a replay stating that I was more upset over their "so-called replacement channels" as I have AEP and they just made it worthless for me to pay extra for these channels when they have now moved them to lower tiers. I suggested that they add NEW channels rather than just shuffle around current ones. Doubt it will do any good, but, made me feel better.:D

I just called. They told me that when TWD starts, if the channel is still dark, they will reimburse me for each episode I have to download. They just said to make sure to download an episode at a time rather the season pass.

So that was $2 off per month for 10 months then? I don't have AEP, just AT200 + BB@Home. I wonder if they'll make the same deal with me?

BTW they had to transfer me to advance support because she had no clue how to help me. All she wanted to do was credit my account $10. I know not to except that if I ever want to upgrade my equipment. Be careful!

So lets figure this out, If Dish is going to give its top 200 and above customers $20 Dish would lose Millions upon millions. 1 million customers is $20 million dollars.

And i'm sure there is more then 1 million that Had Top 200 or above and lost AMC.

I would bet not many are getting this $20 credit.

Yea good luck with that! LOL! Got that in writing?

Dishnet work clearly states they can change or drop programming anytime without compensation. That is in writing!

Not believing everything that AMC/Rainbow has stated about the carriage of their channels on Dish. However Dish has done nothing to make it look as though they have actually negotiated in good faith. From the very beginning the tactics that Dish used seems as though their mind was made up to drop them.If this were a trial and I was a juror all the evidence would point to Dish doing this over the lawsuit. This whole dispute is nothing like disputes in the past.

Thats wild if true.Looks like they are willing to shell out some dough on this dispute.I wonder what they will offer to subs who have no internet or just dial up?

Really was wanting to switch from Directv to the new Dish Hopper once they add the over the air tuner so I can get METV

But

With out the Walking Dead on AMC the family will not be happy.
How much does it cost to buy episodes online? That might be an option

So...with all the credits they've been offering, plus the loyalty offers to those threatening to bail over this, and now free Rokus(?), I'm wondering if Dish is saving any money at all over simpoly paying AMC Nets a reasonable increase.

If AMC wanted about $1/month for the three channels together and Dish probably figures about 1/50 to 1/20 will actually call and complain, they are probably still coming out ahead.

One also has to remember this is a rate increase going forward forever. Future increases % will be based on the new rates.

It sends a strong signal to other providers coming up that large % increases will not be tolerated. Dish potentially gains a lot of savings in the future.

We all know Charlie did this over the lawsuit with Rainbow and nothing else.thats great Charlie fights for lower fees but when he does who pays for it us the consumer with his outrageous fees that he charges that goes to his lawyers for a.l the lawsuits he has going.Charlie has sewn what he reaps and the rooster are coming back home to roosta nd he will lose customers over this and all the other disputes he always has with carriers.

I am on amazon trying to figure out the numbers and stuff. I'm tryign to figure out how they download? can you only play them in the amazon player? If I buy an HD episode is it in a format that can be watched anywhere? I have an LG BluRay player that I can put .mp4, mkv, avi and many more formats onto a flash drive and play them through it. That would be ideal if Amazon downloads that way but I can't find out if they do.

That is, if AMC wanted that much. But, even if they did, Dish could negotiate a lower price, or un-bundling the channels, or re-assignment to different packages. That's what good faith negotiations are all about. But, in this case, it really seems like this droppage was a done deal from the get-go.

Just posted (vented) on The DISH FB page, will my bill decrease because the channels that were "added" were already in my package. Probably won't do any good, but I feel better :D. I already made my mind up to switch, but I was HOPING there was a last minute deal. Oh well, I grew up on brand loyalty, but if a product changes and I don't like it there I go. I'm sure what DISH is losing in subs will be made up for in not paying AMC carrier fees. I can't see a CEO not weighing all the factors. Might be a black mark publicty wise, but money wise, they probably won't take that big a hit.
