That's about $79.00 - $99.00 if it its hd Roku. That is gotta cost DISH a lot of money if they duplicate that offer to anyone that calls in and complains.
That's what I was pointing out earlier. (Or perhaps in the other AMC thread.) With all of the money they are spending on freebies, credits, giveaways, etc, it seems to me that they may not be saving much money compared to paying a reasonable increase to AMC.

OTOH, if one adds these giveaways to the fact that Dish appears to have made up their mind a while back to drop AMC, regardless, and, that they will be paying AMC's parent a HUGE court settlement, it appears that Charlie just wants to wash his hands of all things Rainbow/Cablevision.

"Here's your big pile of cash from the court settlement that I whittled down in endless appeals, Mr. Dolan. Now, leave me the f*** alone."

I would have loved to get a roku. Using the xbox 360 means sustaining a gold account (60 bucks a year) in addition to purchase price of individual shows. Grrrrr

I would not be surprised if it's a low-end LT model.

Nothing wrong with that, of course, if they are giving them out for free. It's a pretty nice gesture, actually.

I just did a chat and received 5 dollars off for three months, I know nothing to run around about, but hey 5 bucks is 5 bucks? I am a newer sub, so I was not really expecting much

not for nuthin.. I found alot of the AMC content is available for free on the ROKU british channels..The picture quality is pretty good for "free"

Could you tell me what Roku channel you are referring to please? If that is the case I might have to buy a Roku for my daughter who loves The Walking Dead series and I am the one who talked her into getting Dish. I have a Roku to check out the quality of the picture.

Amazon Video on Demand is one that has it. (for a per episode fee, though.)
