Under the Dome

As usual with a soap opera, unless you see the body they are not dead. Even if you see the body and it is buried they could still be faking it... It is extremely difficult to really be 100% dead on TV...

We never even really saw what happened with Sam. I suspect he simply fell and landed somewhere else under the dome and will be OK.

"Going Home": As Barbie descends further into the mysterious tunnel in hope of finding Sam, he comes across a world filled with unanswered questions.

S~

It departed from the book and went off into LALA Land starting with the first episode. They should have just done it as a mini-series as planned, and burned it off properly in 1 season.

Anyone know what literary license did the show get from Steve King? Must be the Spielberg influence.

I did hear one actor interview ( Rachelle Lefevre) who said they are to be advised 3 shows in advance when they are to be killed off. She said she feels safe because in the book she lives to the end.

Yeah, characters are completely different.
Dodie & Phil (still think of him as Chef) were completely different. The only thing they had in common with the book characters were their names. Even both of their fates are completely different.

Sam's importance (and relatives) also is a 180. When I heard Junior's uncle was being added, never for a second thought it would be Sam. Only common thread to the book was that the tv character used to drink.

Barbie has also done a 180. In the middle of last season where Dodie heard the message of the military wanting to confirm it was Barbie, it seemed that it would go the way of the book, but that got dropped.

Also surprised Rusty hasn't been introduced. Him and family were major characters in the book.
And no mention of "Scarecrow" Jo's nickname :D

And still no Little Walter. Loved that first name :p
Plu Big Jim's vocabulary isn't quite so tame, I miss his "curse" words.

Beginning to think Barbie's father's tech company has something to do with the dome. So much for the twilight zone ending King did.

I would say with those nipples she is good to go. :D

I heard/saw that same interview.

I just finished watching last night...good show, and it's very interesting, but I get the feeling UtD is going to pull a Fringe with the story getting disjointed and borderline ridiculous. We shall see...although I would have preferred this show being a one-season mini-series.

I wonder how long jump and end up in the playground is going to last... They cannot have everyone simply jump out of the dome.

I kept waiting for Barbie to go to some authorities or something to get the word out that you could evacuate the dome. Lyle and Sam are just crazy, I do not see them doing anything rational. I was disappointed that Barbie was acting that way too.

Did you guys notice ... something.. happened on the way down the cliff, about 20 ft down, things were going haywire, odd things started happening.
