    942 to 622 upgrade offer?

I did OK w/ the CSR roullette I just went thru the same rigamaroll. Follow the advice above and choose the "Tech Support" option (No. 3 I believe) and they will bounce you correctly. I referenced the deal above and got mine for $199 less $20/mo for 10 months and a $25 gift card. That's not...

Any update regarding distant networks in HD?

I've been busy building my new room for the past few months (it's still not done, but it's getting a little closer every day) so I haven't had a chance to follow this as closely as I would have liked. The last thing I heard was that CBS West (which I'm allowed to receive but don't have the...

    1/12 Uplink Activity

I have a waiver from CBS but can't get it because I don't have a dish pointing at 61.5. Could I get CBS from another market, like Chicago, or are the NY and LA HD channels still going to be the only ones available? John

Have you heard if people in our situation can get HD locals from other markets? John

    1/12 Uplink Activity

Anyone think there's any chance of those of us in "Not Planned" HD markets will be allowed to see the HDs from one of the big markets? For example, Little Rock, #57, is showing to be "Not planned" (according to a list I saw in another thread here), but I would like to get either the Dallas or...

    CBS Distant HD

Before all the discussion about MPEG4/2, and the new receivers, etc. I was trying to find out some info about CBS HD. I have a waiver from my local affiliate to receive the national CBS HD feed. I was originally given the east feed, but since it's on 61.5, and I don't have a dish pointed at...

Voom to stay HDLITE in MPEG 4

I just read this thread and all I can say is that I'm looking forward to Monday night's chat. I just subscribed to Dish last month, so this will be my first one. The reason I chose Dish over D* was the fact that D* was using hdlite exclusively. When the Voom channels went hdlite, I was...

Breaking News! New Voom Starting To Get Epg Info :)

Any news about this yet? I called Dish today and got my CBS HD switched from east to west. The guy was kind of confused as to why I wanted to do this. I told him that I had read some info on the web that the west feed may be moved to 129 and he said that it was being discussed, but nothing...

    ESPN II HD When??

Ditto. I had heard it was going to be March before they went MGEG4 which I interpreted to mean summer. My Dish subscription is brand new. What kind of $$$ are we talking to upgrade to MPEG4? John

Breaking News! New Voom Starting To Get Epg Info :)

Yes. In fact, Dish has already added CBS-HD to my subscription, (I've had my waiver since before I signed up w/ Dish), I just can't receive it. I'm going to call them and ask them to switch it from the east to the west and hope that the west becomes available from 129. John

Thanks. I'll check w/ you tomorrow for any update. Dish has added CBS west to my sub package, but I assume they'll change it for me. John
