Living in the northeast & sat 129

^ correct. 61.5 requires a second dish. 110, 119, and 129 are all pretty close together so it's possible to get three LNBs that see these guys all on one dish. getting 110, 119, and 61.5 on one dish would be an engineering marvel to behold.

    Holiday Music Channels on Dish

My wife noticed last year that as it got closer to christmas the BYU Radio network (channel 980) had a lot of nice christmas music featuring, not surprisingly, the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Anyone have this happen when 'moving'?

they don't care. happy customers don't switch to cable. i pay for the channels i get. i just don't always get the ones the fcc thinks i need. dish network has bigger problems (read: pirates) to deal with. but i digress. anybody know what is going on with the error?

    birmingham hd/sd locals

check the signal strength on transponder 9 from 119 degrees. if it is decent, a "move" to birmingham would get you both their SD and HD locals. according to the spotbeam map that james long has compiled, you are right in the fringe area where it might work. to see the map, go here...

Is It Worth The Risk Anymore?

yes -- do what ^^ says. go to menu 6-1-1 and run the check switch test. when it's done (this takes a couple of minutes), exit back to live tv and it will force a download of the guide data for your new locals (this also takes a few minutes).

Is It Worth The Risk Anymore?

yes, but why not just call? you are over-analyzing this. it is so easy. just call and make the switch. a previous poster went from austin to houston to dallas in 2 weeks. i went from greensboro (my "winter home" for acc basketball) to baltimore (where i actually live) to boston (without...

i did the move two days after i signed up for service. told the csr that my neighbor turned me in to the HOA for not filing the necessary "architectual improvement" forms and now the HOA was complaining about the location of the dish. so i took it down until i can dispute it at the next HOA...

Tigers or Reds in HD in Northern Indiana

you can't watch it on the out of town RSN because your in town RSN owns the broadcast rights to the game. what time is it and where do you live? i have a hard time believing that the game isn't televised locally.

Tigers or Reds in HD in Northern Indiana

MLB blackout restrictions are here: http://www.maurybrown.com/images/MLBTerritories.jpg if you really are in the "home territory" for the teams you mentioned then adding the RSN package would get you their games without blackouts.

Is It Worth The Risk Anymore?

in my opinion it is definitely worth the risk (which is small). just don't do anything that would attract attention to your account -- keep your receivers plugged into a phone line and you'll be fine.
