NIce!!!!!! I just bought a Tivo Roamio for OTA the other day. I finally got the wife convinced to drop cable :) Bought an apple tv for hbo and showtime. So we are all set :)
I put up a 40' tower for my amateur radio antennas. But I put a long range tv antenna and rotor on the top :) I got lucky - a friend of mine does tower work and I traded him some stuff for a tower AND the install! :)
I have an Openbox Z5 and was wondering how to add IPTV channels to it? I see an option in the menu for IPTV URL download - any idea if I need to put something in there? Thanks for any help!
I got the old Fortec dish aimed to 97w :) I am back in the FTA hobby :) THANK YOU for all the help! I am going to get the Mini HD SE receiver to play with as it looks cool :)
Back when I was into FTA Fortec Star was a big name and Sadoun was a supplier. So now that I am getting back into the hobby, what is a good and easy receiver to use (good/fast blind scan easy to set up)? Also where is a good place to buy from these days? Thanks for the info!
THANKS for the responses! I sold off my old receivers when we moved 3 1/2 years ago. I still have my old dishes so I took down our Directv dsh and popped on the FTA dish. So I will need to aim it. I set the elevation and skew for the lnb. Pointed in general direction but the darn receiver...
HI - I am getting back into FTA after being away for about 4 years. I just bought an Openbox Z5. I am trying to get it set up with my Fortec Star dish and Fortec Star Universal LNB. I have added in some active transponders that I found on the list for 97w. When I go to aim the dish, whenever...

I will have to poke around next week at the new house to look things over again. I did not think fonding a pole would be hard :) Thanks for the ideas! I now have a few options :)
I don't worry much about the wind as the pole would be in cement, next to the house and 4' or so off the ground. I have a 3" motorized Ku band FTA dish mounted on a post in the ground about 20" into cement. Post is filled in cement and I can't get it to wobble either. It is solid. ;)
