I'm trying to enjoy this show but between the Discovery channel logo and the giant stupid countdown timer to the finale I might not finish. The logo is one thing but the timer is just obnoxious. :mad: Between the 2 it takes up 1 sq.ft. :rant:

Not to get off track but I thought you didn't need to have the recievers hooked to a phone line. I have never had mine hooked to one and was never charged for it.

I'm glad it works for you, but it don't work for me. I can record off of both if I'm sitting there and do it manually but not if I have timers set.

Also make it so when I have something set to record on a Dish channel and one to record on an OTA channel at the same time that it can actually perform this task without constantly messing up the OTA recording!!:rant:

I'm using a WD my book essentials. I also noticed when replaying recorded ota shows that I get a chattering sound like the noise made by the creatures in the movie Predator.

I added a EHD to my 211 and called the number to activate the dvr function, after 15 minutes and nothing happening when I pushed the dvr button I called Dish tech support and the guy told me that the 211 does not have that capability.:confused: Any ideas what I should do next?

I've searched and can't seem to find the answer on wether I can swap an EHD between a 211 and 211k without having problems. Also do I need to have my receivers plugged into phone jacks when I call to have dish activate the dvr functions.

Stupid Dish box screwed up SG-1. I don't know why but within the last year my 301 will just start floating the Dish logo around the screen and when Tivo changes the channel it sometimes screws it up so it changes to a different channel than what it told the box to change to so it didn't record...
