Working as Dish Network Satellite TV Technician.

Dish network is now micro-managed to death. There are few to no freedoms. You can't even idol your van in freezing temps to get warm. Good luck in whatever you do

    VIP 722 2nd TV interferance

Don't forget to also remove the ground from the power cord if moving it to the wall don't fix it. you can either break the pin off or put an adapter on it. Lemme know

    VIP 722 2nd TV interferance

Surprised no one mentioned grounding issue. If the TVs plugged into a power strip, move it to the wall. And even go as far as putting a ground eliminator on the power cord (or just break the ground pin) Bet that fixes it

    My old Dish Network equipment

Yea, definitely do NOT sell them. Those receivers are still very mainstream. I'm installing a 722 here shortly. If the email is to vague to understand, I'd call a csr to verify

    1000.2 lnb interchangable with 1000.4 ?

FYI: you can use the 1000.2 lnb on a 1000.4 dish. You just need to cut the tabs on the 1000.4 bracket. Works perfectly fine. Save your money. You will of course need to re-adjust your skew and elevation.

Upgrade package vs Sling adapter vs Netflix?

Also, get an xbox 360 to stream Netflix. With a fast Internet connection and the hdmi hook-up, you will appreciate the quality of the picture that much more.

    Pole Mount questions

In Michigan, before we do a pole mount we set it up on a non-pen and call miss dig before we do any burials. You can still get dish in the meantime. Miss dig takes about 5 days to stake the yard. Dish can be out any day after that. Tickets are good for 21 days.

Sat 2 feed on the receiver is actually for tuner 1. Just flip it and tuner 1 will be good.

    722 receiver - tv2 connection help

Home Distribution is your TV2 connection. Run a cable from that to your second TV and it will operate independently from the TV1 connection. You will however need to make sure the 722 Receiver is in Dual mode (not single). You will also need a TV2 remote. Why was there only one TV hooked up to...

1000.2 and dish pro (not dish pro +)

Hes right. There are 3 outputs and 1 input on the 1000.2 LNB. You will however need to get DPP Separators for your (2x) 522 receivers, since they will now only require one cable line.

    1000.2 + 61.5 Satellite Dish

Also if it does have a Twin, look at the front of it to see if its a Legacy, Dish pro or Dish Pro Plus. Dish Pro Plus is the only one that wont work with a DPP 33 Switch. DP Plus: Black label and it says "Dish Pro Plus" on the front. DP: Also a black label but just says "Dish pro" (no plus)...

    1000.2 + 61.5 Satellite Dish

Very important question..... Does the twin dish have a Dish Pro Plus Twin LNB or two single LNBs? If it has a DPPTwin LNB then that's your problem. You cant have a DPP LNB and a DPP Switch. (The DPP Twin acts as a switch). Check that and get back to me.

    connecting to new dish

Any port will work fine. Except the LNB IN. You only need too hook up one cable also. Just use a DPP Separator.

    20.0/21.0 remote question...

You can use the colored buttons. Just not in the Satellite mode. You can program them in TV/DVD/AUX modes on the 20.0/21.0 remotes. Ive got mine programmed.

    Help satellites lost

Assuming there's a separator going into the 722, try flipping it (inverting it, moving 1->2 and 2->1) Then run the check switch again and see if you get the same result. If you have 2 separate wires going into the 722 (and no separator), swap them and re-test. Could be something as simple as a...

    vip 722 or 222?

Yes I would say get the 322 along with your 722. I don't see anything wrong with getting the 222k (yes get the K version if you get it) if you do not want DVR functions and want to save money. But of course the 722 is better.

    vip 722 or 222?

222/k doesnt have a DVR, the 722/k is an HD DVR Duo tuner. With 4 TV's you're gonna get 2 receivers anyway. You just need to decide if you want a DVR or not. The 612 is an HD DVR dual tuner but a single TV receiver. the 622 is similiar to the 722 except it has less hours of record time for the...

    Loss of signal problem

?? A superdish usually runs to a 34 switch meaning NO Separator. a 322 would have 2 lines run to it. @ the OP: Im not sure what black gooey stuff you're referring to but if its the rubber boots that go on the connectors, in Michigan we dont even use them anymore, infact its been found they...

    DP322 for 118/119

QFE - You need the FSS dual LNB. Or depending what internationals you're getting, some still come on the 61.5 Satellite. Call Technical Support and ask them what orbital the channels you want come on.

Did I Just Made Most Stupid Move of this Year?

Wow....just re-read...lol The reason "roof" tripod mount was assumed is because he said NLOS without tripod. If thats the case a rail mount would have sufficed. Would could get into an SBCA discussion if it has to do with permission.
