    Joeys video & audio freezing

Just an FYI - All my premise distribution coax is Belden 1694A terminated with Canare FP-C connectors - ALL coax, plugs and jacks are 3GHz sweep tested. Ethernet is Belden 1872A CAT6e Mediatwist terminated with Panduit CJ699TP jacks - WiFi? What's that?:nana2 Everything (16 x dual coax & dual...

    Joeys video & audio freezing

Not claiming to know much but, would marginal/poor MoCA levels point to a Node or splitter problem? In my case the MoCA levels for both Joeys were full scale green. Your resume is impressive. I'm contemplating retiring from my current position. But as you know, I would very likely walk into...

    Joeys video & audio freezing

I hear you! Not to mention the software download time, etc. I was tempted to suggest the node. But, experience has taught me to stay out of the way of experience :bow

    Joeys video & audio freezing

No, didn't go near the node. Immediately swapped out the HwS - problem solved. The 118 satellite signal was Yellow so also peaked the dish - Good. Relatively quick and pleasant experience - I give straight "10's" :thumbup

    Joeys video & audio freezing

(Bridging enabled) Both Ethernet and MoCA: DHCP Acquired: OK Server Connection: OK Internet Connection: OK Noticed again this morning on the HwS TV, the Channel Guide takes about a minute to bring up. Sometimes the Channel Guide freezes. Tech is here, tried to run some HwS tests on screen...

    Joeys video & audio freezing

Spoke with tech support (Performed power cord reset of HwS & Joeys - no change.), said "no known H/J issues" with my symptoms, "suspect cable issue". Scheduled a tech visit for tomorrow morning. Will update, stay tuned...

    Joeys video & audio freezing

Disabled bridging, power reset HwS, verified bridging disabled - no difference. Noticed that trying to bring up the Channel Guide on the TV connected to the HwS is very slow. The first time I tried to bring it up this morning I received a Nag to power reset and to call DISH if it doesn't fix...

    Joeys video & audio freezing

Hmmm, I'm watching live satellite programing on the TV at my HwS with no freezing. However, I'm experiencing an intermittent sluggish remote control (new batteries) command response from the HwS.

    Joeys video & audio freezing

UPDATE: I tried watching a program that had just been recorded on the DVR this evening. The freezing can be observed when watching this latest DVR recording on the TV at the HwS or Joeys.

    Joeys video & audio freezing

Yes! I first pressed the front reset button on the HwS. When that made no difference I did the power cord reset on the HwS. When that didn't work I power cord reset the HwS with the Joey's power unplugged. When the HwS powered up I plugged the power back in for each Joey to no avail...

    Joeys video & audio freezing

Today the video and audio from my two Joeys began freezing for about 20 seconds about every minute. (The missing 20 secs of video and audio are lost when the program resumes.) This phenomenon occurs from both OTA and satellite signals. This does NOT occur while watching the TV connected...

    Slow channel changing on hopper

I have been putting up with slow channel changes since the original Hopper with "upgraded software" and now the Hopper w/Sling and 2 Joeys. It now takes up to 4 seconds per channel change even on local OTA channels. Like many here it never was as fast as when the original Hopper/Joey was...

Putting the Red MoCA icon problem aside (which is also discussed here): For what purpose does bridging the Joeys to your LAN/internet serve? Do the Joeys have there own built-in internet Apps?

    Interesting Joey Problem

Thanks for this, glad to know. I have the same issue and cable topology as the OP, cditty: Home run Belden RG6 1694A 4.5GHz with Canare connectors. If MoCA can't run on this then it can't run anywhere.

Red MoCA Icons On the Joeys?

I have had the original Hopper for one year and never saw Red MoCA indicators on my 2 Joeys (no HIC). I upgraded to a Hopper w/Sling and a OTA tuner module a couple weeks ago. NOTHING else has changed! Today is the first day I see Red MoCA on both Joeys. My cable is top of the line Belden...
