i don't believe any of those guys in the chat! i have the other dish' 1000.4 and get 61.5, 72, and 77, but there is nothing on 77..................... if i remember right 61.5 is for locals and all else on 72.................!!!

i don't know your location, but 61.5 and 72 is all that is needed in some locations. (like mine central, ny ) and with the new 1000.2 dish that's all you can get! good luck.

i have used the 1K4 for tailgating and no problems, a little bit harder to aim but not that bad,(imho) but i do use a bird dog meter!:D

i used the EA and it didn't matter what LNB connection i used.

i DON'T KNOW HOW LONG IT TAKES TO LOSE THE RECORDINGS...........................i used my 722K in my motor home and sometimes it would be unplugged for as long as two days, when i reached my destination i would plug it in and watch my recordings. set up dish with bird dog, then watch live TV...

i got sucked in for the bundle deal, saved $25.00 a month. just remember it only lasts for 12 mos. after 12 mos the savings here it is $3.00 a mo. savings. i went to Dish from direct and was sorry i did. now after 12 mo with dish i am back with direct and happy about it.

I was a long time Direct customer, (1999 to 2011) left for Dish-net and got a good deal.......too bad the good deal expired after 12 mos. I just came back to Direct and got all new equip, HR34, 1 Client. Now that i have had both i can say that i like Direct much better. (just my preference)...
