2013 MLB Postseason

Not taking anything away from Wainwright, who is a very good pitcher, but it's a little different going up against an AL lineup.

Nice start for the Sox .... 3-0 Sox and counting !

After the Umps got together they made the right call ....
However, how you could miss that call originally is really hard to figure.
The only explanation I can think of is that he tried to anticipate the play. Can't do that.....

On the flip side, the Red Sox went through Detroit's 200 K aces and Wainwright is a different pitcher after going through those guys and Tampa's group of aces.

Wainwright flat out Blew that pop up to him, thats why pop ups to the pitchers get taken by the 1b or 3b.

In his defense, it looks like Molina either called him off or said something, because you see his eyes after watching the ball go down to Molina and then it drops.

Also his Defense hasn't helped him AT ALL.

That catch by Beltran was a very good catch, but it seemed rather benign from an injury standpoint.

This game is quite a difference from the last Game 1 between these teams (2004 World Series). Mark Bellhorn hit a 2 run homer off the "Pesky Pole" in the bottom of the 8th, to give the Red Sox an 11-9 win

If game 2 goes like this one and the Sox go on to win it, I will feel much better about the Tigers losing.
