I have been a long time Dishnetwork subscriber, and am moving across town soon. I think I have a few options which are as follows:
1. move everything myself, and self install-just change billing address & ph. #
2. call “Dishmover”
3. Re-subscribe as a new customer in wife’s name and new address

I want HD capability in 2 rooms at the new house (could buy another used 811 of ebay or switch to 622), and SD capability in 1 (maybe 2) room.

My current hardware is as follows:
811-owned
522-leased
7200-owned
Large antenna for OTA
Dish 500 @ 199 & 110
Dish 300 @ 61.5
DP 34 – 500 Twin-1 (1) Twin – 2(2) Dual – 1(3)

My current programming is as follows
AT180 w/locals $54.99
DVR fee (522) $5.98
Lease fee(522) $5.00
Addl rcvr fee (7200) $5.00
HD pkg $9.99

Total $80.96

If I move myself, bill and programming remains the same. Can it remain the same with Dishmover, or will I be forced to upgrade to an MPEG -4 rcvr? If I re-subscribe as a “new” customer, are there good incentives that would be worthwhile? Your feedback and advice is much appreciated.

If it was me I would choose option 3 above!!

With #3 you may have to change you r phone #.

Depending on your prowess I'd prefer #1 then #2.

A phone # change will happen anyway, I am curious as to if I would get a better deal as a new customer without significant increase in programming costs. Knowing that as a new customer, I would could get either a 211 or 622.

I am thinking of installing the equipment myself. Can anyone tell me if I would be allowed to swap my 522 for a 622 (with associated fees), and not have to subscribe to the metallic HD package. I currently have the older (mpeg-2) HD programming.
