Powersurge gave me the tip today ( thanks!!!!)
I was only able to open one TP, 3885, but there is almsot 8 channels there. Signal? Full!!! 90%, signal quality 71%, using a fortec 6 ft and a NS 741 C&Ku LNBF.

SatBeams shows the C-band beam covering large parts of North America easily, so that shouldn't be too big of a surprise. But they also show some weird little lobes of the Ku-band beam that should be receivable with a BUD if you're inside one of them.

I've been using this satellite for some time now as it's my due south sat. I have scanned in some additional TPs there from time to time but none of them seem to stay around like 3885. That TP has 9 TV channels and 7 that are radio.

I scanned man times before and never got anything. Finally the last week I decided to scann again and, Bingo.
Yes the footprint is sort of weird with a lots of singal wasted over even north of Greenland. Also Lonely man, you are right, the footprint at Satbeam shows Ku coverage available witha 6ft. dish.

This is what I got:
FULL TIME:
C-BAND: 3885 V23,000
Ku Band: 11512 V 3100

I got also some signal from 11830 V but very sporadic.

By the way, this are just excellent good news for the torontonian FTAers; since the satellite at 79W went down, there has no been a satellite close enough to start tunning up a dish ( Toronto's true south).

Linear. I am using the famous 421 with Lo 10750.
by the way, I had another 421 before and its performance was very mediocre, then a friend of mine gave me this that looks almost excatly like the first one but its performance is quite better. I believe it may be some or many fake units out there. Suggestion, only buy your LNBF and any other FTA ancillary from reliable sources; the extra cash you pay worth it.

The "George Washington" of South America. Helped liberate lots of Spanish colonies on the continent from Spain. Idolized by the new regime in Venezuela, as Chavez felt he was the new Bolivar.

Add on top of it, the channels content is extremely boring, more biased than Russia TV, brainwashing like any cuban station. BUT!!!!!! I love it beacuse it will be my new south ( it is really 79W here in Southwestern Ontario, but this is very close)

I´m not surprised that´s the way Venezuelan tv is, btw Telesur is also on 97w Ku,
And the brainwashing wouldn´t be like the cuban channels on 30W, at least not during the time in their schedule when they air American shows and movies, (including logos of US and Canadian channels and all :D)

I notice on 30W, One of the Cuban stations often carries Telesur (Educativo 2 I think) during the evenings. That's in addition to the Telesur feed in the Cuban mux ;)

Yes now that you mention it, whenever I come across Educativo 2, Telesur is there, át times I thought it was basically Telesur feed 24/7 on that channel, I guess I need to do a fresh rescan on that mux to catch the other feed.:)
