Am I missing something?

I have the Dish HDGold. I have 500 dish. Do I need a second dish to point at 61.5 or 129, if so why? I keep seeing this subject lightly touch on. But no useable info for the uninformed. Please help.

Yes you need eaither a Dish 1000 to get 129 or a second dish pointed at 61.5 as thats where the majority of HD channels are located.

Yeah just get a Dish 1000 should be fine.

That depends on where you are located. But almost always, you will get a better signal strength and less rain fade using 2 dishes.
