Just got my 10 ft channel master dish polar mount planted and aligned I hope ,this is what I did setup on true south which is 183 degrees then set elevation to 28.58 and declination of4.08 for modified elevation of 32.66 ,I'm at 28.03 latitude ,my question is with the dish centered on true south do i move dish on the pole to peak signal on 97w which is east a few degrees ,if I do this will that setup initial tracking ??????

... peak signal on 97w which is east a few degrees ...

When you are at 97.04W, there's not a few degrees to 97W?
See your previous thread: True south

... on true south which is 183 degrees ...
True south is always exactly 180 degrees.
When you mean magnetic south would be on 183 degrees (or 177, according to dishpointer.com), that is of no importance for your dish setup. Only true south is.
And you can perfectly use 97W as your true south.
