I was reading that they had pulled Jane Espenson back a little from the show, haven't verified that though... the next post has a preview from this weeks show.

I agree, best one yet and I'm definitely interested now...
The de-rez thing was a bit too Tron-ish for my taste - almost a rip-off of the concept in Tron - but it only detracted from the episode a little bit for me. The arm tearing-off scene was rather gripping (no pun intended).

The article referred to young William Adama becoming Commander Adama in BSG... I think that is a mistake. This is 60 some years before the first cylon war. That was many years before the second war in BSG... I always assumed the one in Caprica was either the Dad or Grandfather.
How old is Willie at this point? Didn't they say he was 13 or so? I guess that puts it in the right timeframe for him to be fighting in the first war. Just doesn't seem old enough though....
Be 19 at the start of the war, in Razor the actor was older, but I can't remember how long the war lasted.
If it is only about 6 years before the first war, those cylon factories really got busy. That is a lot of production from the first prototype that they cannot seem to replicate now.
Well went back and reviewed the pilots of BSG and Caprica. Caprica says 58 years before the fall. BSG is over 40 years since they heard from the cylons. So one assumes the first war starts and ends by 18 years after this time on Caprica.
So under this timeline Commander Adama is about 70 at the start of BSG.

Good episode, and a cameo from Teryl Rothery (Dr. Janet Frasier from SG1). Maybe she will be a recurring character.
Liked Teryl's cameo, but this was pretty much just a foreshadowing episode...setting up things for future episodes...not much happened, really...but the trailer for next week looks good...
Frasier was in last weeks or in something I watched last week also... interesting episode, elsewhere (Tivo?) some one pointed out that the Greystone place's view looks a lot like the view from Baltar's place...
Yep, I thought the same thing several times, that the Greystone lake/hills view was pretty much the same as Baltar's house...
