Anyone got a letter for another package?

Wow, that is big news - they way I read that they are removing ESPN from the Select package - and raising the price.

I'm going to copy your post to it's own thread as that is news.

Not having DTV reading this thread has me confused.

First what is the current price of Select

Second,does it currently have ESPN

Third,if it does currently have ESPN,they are removing it and raising the price by $3

??

Select is $46.99 and is generally only available from retention.

The key change is raising the price to $49.99, dropping ESPN (1/2), and adding/removing some general cable type channels.

For a casual sports fan this may make the Entertainment package the better option.

is Select essentially Entertainment minus ESPN, and thus $5 cheaper ?
I think so, for ESPN and more it seems worth the cost

They must be making the adjustments to sustain Select or move folks out of it.

It looks like the packages now will basically be Family, Entertainment, Choice, Ultimate & Premier?

sounds like a package I'd be happy enough with from mid-Mar (ESPN doesn't have NCAA BB??) to the end of Aug tho :) (mostly a basketball/football household)
