characters showing up in artist and title... splits track into 50+ parts

I have a peculiar issue.... When listenign and recording, Im getting random characters poppping up for a very small split second in the title or the artist section.... this is bad because it then thinks its a new title and ends the track and starts again... so, for example, one song is split into like 50 tracks each lasting about 5-10 seconds. Has anyone else seen this, experienced this, or does anyone know how to fix this?

Curious on two things...
1. what causes it?
2. when will the next release be? I cant use timetrax at all to record until the next release.

By the way, I do want to point out that unlike the other post, mine does this when playing normally, not just with the scheduler.
