CNBC TV channel original feed signal

We are stuck and hope that the guru's on the board can help us. We need to figure out which the main (original signal) feed for CNBC TV is, as we need to watch the TV as soon as possible. We want to get the signal off the sat. The idea is to get ( master feed ) with BUD in a datacenter, so there is no retransmission and the speed of arrival is as close to studio recording time as possible.

We also understand that there is an encryption and we will have to figure out how to subscribe to the service. Its ok to subscribe to commercial NBC service. We do not want second generation (retransmitted solution with additional delays).

We have a reference point for comparison of the speed. For example we know how many seconds our feed from EU sat with BUD is compared to the studio recording time. This could help for tests if needed.

We will send a serious appreciation to the people who help us to solve this! So no matter how difficult it will be, we need to achieve it.

You are correct. But its not about milliseconds but seconds in this case. Unless you can cross-connect someone from CNBC headquarters where they are recording the shows to our server. Do you think you can help us solve this serious matter?

I have no way to help. But I thought information on broadcast TV financial shows (such as on CNBC) was delayed on purpose by 15 minutes or more to stop people doing what you are attempting. Just a rumour I heard.

I heard something about it also trying to use shortwave radio DRM "Digital Radio Mondail " for stock market trading.

If you googled it, there someone's just filled a FCC license for shortwave radio station.

That's as far as I know of something like that.

Why not just watch 2 (or more) at a time, and choose the earlier one? Work through all the feeds, you'll find the earliest.

So nobody can help? Even if you just get signal from one of CNBC Sats, we can run a quick test to see what is the speed compared to the studio. This way we can easily find the master feed. Will appreciate it.

Don't you have an engineering team working for you? We're unpaid volunteers here. Making demands isn't a good way to get free help.

I do but its far away, so can't download signal from US sats. I didn't want or expect free help. In my first post I mentioned: "We will send a serious appreciation to the people who help us to solve this!". Didn't want the thread to sound like job offer, as wasn't sure if can publish it here. Well, if it is encrypted as your first post says then none of the people here will be able to help as we are not hackers. With that being said Lyngsat.com shows that Galaxy 14 at 125 W 4080H is a transponder used by NBC Universal (PowerVu encrypted) so that may be the main feed which would be picked up by Dish Network, DirecTV, HITS and Shaw. If a cable company uses this feed it would be seconds before the four satellite services above.

Your best solution is to contact the contracts department of CNBC and negotiate a carriage agreement based on the outcome of a performance test. If your usage is legit, there should not be any issue...
