Giving son my 622

I was wondering if I were to buy the 722 out right, could my son use the 622 I have for his dish programing. He likes the DVR aspect of it so that he can record show. Does he have to call dish and tell them for them to re-program this for his programing and would he hav e to start paying an extra fee? Any help out here!

If it's not "leased" then you can do what you want with it. Once you call them to deactivate it, your son can call and start service for himself with that receiver.
Does he live in the same house as you??
