So I have seen a few topics on this but I wanted to make sure I was diagnosing the right problem, the past few mornings when I have turned the tv on, I have received the Hard drive failure message and after a reset all is well

Is this a message that the Hopper Hard drive is on its way out or is it possibly my EHD is on its way (hope it's not the EHD) it's a HWS

Thanks for any feedback

And get ready to evacuate your programs to an EHD.

Did you ever figure out if it was an actual bad drive, or buggy software?

I'm having basically the same issue. Every morning all three of my joeys come on but no picture until I do a power plug reboot of the hopper with sling because of what it says is a hard drive failure. Once its rebooted all is fine till next morning. Do I need a new hopper?

How do you know bad drive? I lost one of my Hoppers to the 760 error. I did a reformat and it never came back. DISH replaced it.
