Hopper with Sling + iPad + EHD : Do transfers to EDH include iPad version?

Folks that have a Hopper with sling.

You record and show, and prep it for transfer to iPad.

So, you now have 2 versions of the program sitting on your DVR. One version is the recorded version, the other being the iPad converted version.

You have not transferred the program to the iPad yet.

If I now transfer my recorded program to my EHD ... does that also include the iPad version of the program also?

I would doubt that it does move the prepared iPad version over, because of the fact that the Hopper Transfer app is only going to display the contents on the internal Hopper hard drive and not your EHD. So if you prep something and then move it over to the EHD, I don't think you would be able to transfer it to the iPad until its moved back to the internal hard drive so the app can access it.

I was just trying to think of ways of freeing up space if needed.

Can you delete prepared iPad copies?

No, once you transfer them then they are gone off the Hopper. I wouldn't be too concerned about saving space. You have a terabyte of space and you can add an EHD to add additional space for recordings. If you prep something, I would transfer it if you are that worried about the iPad copy taking up space.
