iOS7 Discussion Thread

The better question is, will iOS7 have a JB when it is released? According to Devteam it appears (that depends on what is fixed in the final release) that they will be able to release a JB shortly after release. They found holes in the latest iOS6 updates that are still present in iOS7 beta that they do not want to make public yet.

A color selector/font selector JB would be most valuable. :)

What's with the huge Bluetooth logo on the lock screen?

Strange, mine isn't like that.

But my photo stream doesn't seem to upload new photos from camera roll to photostream, unless I specifically send a photo to one of my shared photostreams...

BTW the SatelliteGuys Reader app might not be working, I forgot I am using a beta of the Generation 2 app which should hopefully be out by the end of the month.

I have five or six apps that installed during the restore, but then the App store started doing updates, and they are in a perpetual state of "waiting" - I can't open them, I can't delete them. They list in the updates section as pending, but show "open" instead of update or install. No idea how to fix them. Any suggestions?

Never mind. I went in through iTunes, removed the apps, synced, then reinstalled, and they are now fine.

I need to hunt to see if there is a fix for photo stream.

I love the little touches In this os that I have been waiting on, like from the messages screen I can now call someone without scrolling all the way up to a break in the thread and hit call, its now right there, I just touch contact then call!

I've been away from iOS for almost 2 years now. I had to leave the iPhone if I wanted a bigger screen. I was so hoping that they would make iOS more customizable. After having the iPhone since 2007 I got sick of looking at nothing but icons. I see their still there but now their "pretty". To bad I guess I'll stick with Android for now.

24 hours later I am getting happier with the apps, even with the white. The mail program is very nice. The problem with the screenshots, is they only show the stock iOS apps, and put them all together. Not many people run their iPhone with all of those apps in one place (for me, most of them are in a folder, tucked away). The problem is take all of those pastel flat icons and then use what I think is the worst possible background (that equally pastel dynamic wallpaper) and you have a case of throwing chlorine in your eyes.

But put in a mix of "real life" app icons, and a different wallpaper, and it is not bad.
This is my home screen:

That said look how boring the stock camera icon is compared with Instagram!

Plus I think everything looks really nice when you see the animations and flow of os, just my two cents as I wasn't sold on the look until I saw it in action.

I've been amused by the people complaining about the ICONs when, IMHO, they are the least important aspect of the OS. How it works is, and always has been, the most important issue. Again, IMHO, iOS 7 is an improvement over its predecessors.

I'm sure it's better but it's still same ol thing since 2007 only prettier. I was like most iPhone guys. I could care less about customization. That is until I had the options with Android. I have no idea why Apple and some iPhone super fans think options and customization is a bad thing? I never had a problem with how iOS ran. I just got sick of the small screen and the same boring feel year after year.
