I was just wondering, for Dish Network, CBS ABC NBC FOX from New York, Chicago, San Fransisco and Los Angeles are on a conus feed??

they are not Dish Network feeds. Those are a separate company called All American Direct who sells distants to folks who qualify. They are subleasing a transponder or two from Dish and using Dish's equipment

I understand that, but what I'm asking is, lets say someone from New York "MOVES" to San Fransisco. Would he be able to get the San Fransisco locals since they are on a conus?

No, you would need to move somewhere that you can apply for and pay for the AAD channels. Then you can get them all.

Alright thanks! That's what I was wondering. I'm thinking about switching over to DISH Network, so I was wondering what my options are.

Oh and don't ever talk about "MOVING" over at dbstalk! They get a little mad! LoL

Glad you learned where to really hang out! We are much more laid back here.

stick up his A**

Yeah I used to hang over there till I got too many post removed and PM's from JL about the comments I made being illegal. So I haven't looked at them in months. JL has got a stick up his A** as far as I'm concerned.

I still tweak him just for fun every once in a while with references to the Yahoo dishrip group.

They think that's illegal, too.

I think there are some SD locals on CONUS...check TheList link in my signature. And definitely there are some HD locals on the EA satellites that are CONUS.

I'm not talking about AAD locals here.

Quick glance... New York SD's are on 119 CONUS. Casper and Rapid City are too but won't be there for long.

Denver and Chicago Big 4 SD's are on 110 CONUS.

If you are "moving" on Dish and have an EA dish you should be pretty safe for 2 years. It is not until sometime in 2011 that a spot beam replacement satellite for 77 is scheduled.

Peaked but a problem

Got the dish 500+ peaked out last night. The problem is St. Louis is on 3 tps ; 11,18 & 21. 11 is 37, 21 is 28, and 18 is only 10 at best. 17 which is the one I peaked all the sats on was in the mid to upper 30's at the dish. Now it's only 33, I've got some kind of line loss that is outrageous. So will have to see what can be done about that before I can say whether it works or not. I don't seem to have the line loss on 110 & 119 though(50's & 60's). Does the F output have weak output problem normally?

those transponders are a pain to peak, at first I only got 2 or 3 points if anything on those. then I peaked and repeaked, and finally got 40-45 on 16 and 18. On 9 and 11 I got 68-72
