NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

Is anyone watching the OSU vs. Ohio game on ESPN right now?! It's 7-3 Bobcats late in the 1st quarter.

The Bucks offense looks horrid and it seems like they are playing down to the competition (no offense Bobcat fans). Evidently they thought they could coast through this game and are looking forward to week 3 against USC. Tressel better rip into these guys at halftime!

BTW, I am watching this game in an opposite room of my wife right now. In my superstitious mind I felt as if SHE was the reason why the Bobcats are winning. My wife is an Ohio University Alumn and is rooting for the Bobcats.

I'm watching it off and on with the Michigan game. tOSU looking off today. I wouldn't worry about the outcome, but they aren't helping themselves in the polls (not that it matters right now). Look to see the Buckeyes start pouring it on pretty soon.

Why don't they play Pryor with the first team lineman like the announcer was saying, and why don't they let him throw down field to see what he has?

You Bucknuts letting your rearends loosen up after that last score? :D

One good thing about this game - some USC players will think they are going to have a cakewalk next week, which will be a big mistake. I still have my money on tOSU.

I don't. I like USC even more now. This could be like the USC-Nebraska game last year that the media hyped.

I've wondered this too, IF Pryor comes in against USC (and I don't see that happening) I would hope he goes in with the 1st string offense.

The only reason I can see him going in with the 2 nd string is that he probably practices with them all week. He puts the whole 2nd string in, line and receivers as well.
In a year or so these guys will all be playing together, no better way to get some experience.

I noticed that Tressel did not put Pryor in when the game was still in doubt ... things that make me go hmmmmm.

I too would like to see him throw the ball down field, of course he may be doing that in practice, something that USC has NOT seen yet.

I see Trev Albe .... uh m make that Mark May is doing his normal best to disrespect Ohio State as usual, still .....
Ohio State couild go undefeated and beat a SEC team for the MNC by 30 point and Tre, Mark would find negative things to say about the Bucks

VERY controversial ending in the BYU/Washington game, thanks to a real iffy 'unsportsmanlike conduct' call that screwed up the extra point.

Willingham just can't buy a break. You can't help but feel for this guy.

East Carolina manhandled West Virginia this afternoon. The Pirates just might be the most underrated program in the nation.

I agree with that. I think they are for real now. I thought last week was just a fluke until this week.

Thoughts on the Early Saturday Games.

1. Many thoughts on the BYU/UW game. The PAC-10 get another black eye on it refs, I don't think the spirit of an excessive celebration penalty applies in this case. UW's Jake Locker scrambles around time running out barely beating a defender into the endzone that could force OT and he's not suppose to be extremely excited, he didn't spike the ball at a defender or throw the ball into the stands, YOU DON'T MAKE THAT CALL.
But make no mistake, UW bothced the PAT, not only was the kick low but BYU also busted through the UW line. The PAT would have been blocked penalty or not.

2. Notre Lame and Wake Forest have nothing to be crow about in their wins.

3. East Carolina is a cute story but both wins were at home. Let's wait until they go on the road before we get carried away on them.

Actually ECU's win last week was in Charlotte and was a neutral site. Still they have been impressive. Since Clemson embarrased the ACC last week by getting blown out after being named the pre-season pick to win the conference, what does it say about the BE that WVU, the BE pre-season pick to win the conference, was crushed today?
