'NCIS' crossover, 'Grinder' http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/...2016/01/05/january-5-critics-corner/78127046/
One of TV's most popular series lends its ratings weight to its somewhat less popular sibling, as NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans launch the second half of their seasons with this two-hour crossover. The link is Abby's brother (guest star Tyler Ritter), a chef suspected of murder when the passengers and crew of a private plane flying, conveniently enough, from Washington to New Orleans die after eating his food. Keep that in mind the next time you complain about the death of free meals in coach.

I will miss the amazing crew and cast, who are like family to me, and to the fans all over the world — THANK YOU, it’s been a fantastic ride!”David McCallum, who plays Ducky, let slip about Weatherly’s exit in a Q&A with the UK’s Vulture Hound magazine, saying, “DiNozzo, played by Michael Weatherly… is leaving at the end of the season. So the writers have to decide what to do when one of the four members of the original cast leaves.”

Michael Weatherly Exits 'NCIS': My Mom Reacts https://www.yahoo.com/tv/michael-weatherly-exits-ncis-my-mom-reacts-164128025.html
For 13 years, Michael Weatherly has played “Very” Special Agent Tony DiNozzo on one of TV’s top-rated shows, NCIS. Yesterday, CBS confirmed that Weatherly has decided to leave the series at the end of the season. After receiving Facebook messages and texts from my mother, Joyce Bierly, using the words “heartbroken” and “devastated,” I phoned her this morning to exploit help her process her feelings.

Michael Weatherly Leaving NCIS: How Will DiNozzo Be Written Out? https://www.yahoo.com/tv/michael-weatherly-leaving-ncis-dinozzo-202632486.html
It’s all over but the… 11 or so episodes leading up to Michael Weatherly’s NCIS swan song.In response to TVLine’s double-secret official reporting that Special Agent Tony DiNozzo’s portrayer is parting ways with TV’s most watched drama after 13 seasons, you all had opinions, on how — and perhaps with whom — the fan-fave character should be written off of the canvas.Of course, ever since Gibbs cheated death at the hands of a terrorist-in-training at the start of this season, things have been a bit pricklier between him and DiNozzo, who promptly stepped up as team leader, even as Boss insisted on staying in the mix best he could.

Cote dePablo, Michael Weatherly Bf's Forever on 'NCIS' Mantel http://www.newsmax.com/TheWire/cote-de-pablo-michael-weatherly-ncis/2016/01/08/id/708690/
We'll probably never know what really could have happened romantically between 'NCIS' agents Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo, now that Michael Weatherly says he's leaving the long-running CBS drama. Weatherly, who plays "very special agent" DiNozzo, has been with "NCIS" since it debuted in 2003. Cote De Pablo who played Ziva left the show in 2013 amid contract negotiations with the network, prompting a social media outcry from her fans.De Pablo said the exit was "rushed," Fox News said.In postings on his Twitter account Tuesday, Weatherly thanked the show's fans worldwide and said "NCIS" was a "fantastic ride," reported The Associated Press. He called DiNozzo a wonderful character, one who was fun to play.

Maya Stojan, who last TV season juggled her recurring role as Castle tech whiz Tory Ellis with an arc as Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s Agent 33 (aka Kara), is once again doubly busy on your TV box.TVLine has learned that Stojan will guest-star in a February episode of CBS’ NCIS as one of four privately commissioned deep sea divers who, after a retired petty officer dies under fishy circumstances, must remain in the diving chamber for four days to decompress… alongside the deceased’s body… while the NCIS team attempts to crack the case from land.

NCIS writers are still plotting Michael Weatherly's exit
Geller said he (and his mother) will miss Weatherly on the show, but that the decision to leave was beyond his control. "The decision was his, and it was a creative one," Geller says. "He'd been in the role 13 years. I COMPLETELY understand that and wish him well."Geller also said there currently are no plans for Cote de Pablo to return to the show as part of Weatherly's exit.

Michael Weatherly's NCIS Exit: Currently No Plans for Ziva to Return https://www.yahoo.com/tv/michael-weatherlys-ncis-exit-no-172059299.html
It’s early goings yet, but there are “not currently” plans for Cote de Pablo to return to NCIS to help exit Michael Weatherly’s Tony DiNozzo off the canvas at season’s end, CBS entertainment president Glenn Geller said Tuesday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena. As first reported by TVLine, Weatherly will make his final appearance as Special Agent Tony DiNozzo in the Season 13 finale, one of four remaining original cast members. “DiNozzo is a wonderful, quixotic character and I couldn’t have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons,” the actor tweeted out to fans.“They are working on how Michael’s character is going to be written out. [Showrunner] Gary [Glasberg] and the producers are working on that right now,” Geller told TVLine. “I will definitely miss — as I’m sure the fans will, as well as my mother — Special Agent Tony DiNozzo. [Weatherly’s] decision was his. It was a creative one. He had been in the role for 13 years, and I completely understand it, and I wish him well.”

NCIS won't 'directly' replace Michael Weatherly.....CBS chief addresses how show will move forward after actor's departure http://www.ew.com/article/2016/01/12/ncis-michael-weatherly
CBS knows there is no replacing Michael Weatherly, so don’t go looking for a new character to fill Tony DiNozzo’s very big shoes on NCIS, the network’s chief told reporters Tuesday.“The producers are working on a couple of roles right now,” said CBS Entertainment President Glenn Geller. “It’s not a direct replacement of Tony DiNozzo, but we are looking at a couple additions [for] this season.”The network recently confirmed reports that Weatherly will leave the procedural at season’s end. The actor’s departure had been in the works for more than a year; Weatherly even sat down with CBS Corp. Chairman Leslie Moonves about exiting the show that made him a household name.Weatherly joined the drama in 2003. He said via Twitter that “DiNozzo is a wonderful, quixotic character & I couldn’t have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons.”

How Should Tony DiNozzo Exit 'NCIS'? http://www.buddytv.com/articles/ncis/poll-how-should-tony-dinozzo-e-1-58439.aspx
Well, NCIS fans, I have been in denial ever since I heard that Michael Weatherly, who plays "Very Special Agent" Tony DiNozzo, will be departing the show at the end of this season. DiNozzo is one of the four original characters that started with the show, and the thought of NCIS without the charming and wise-cracking agent is unimaginable. Alas, I have to face the facts: NCIS will be down one agent when DiNozzo departs. So how, exactly, should DiNozzo leave the long-running show? Many fans were unhappy with the way that Ziva David, played by Cote de Pablo, was written off the show. Ziva's decision to leave the team and stay in her native Israel came out of nowhere, and didn't make much sense. Let's see how the writers should send off DiNozzo.

8 Reasons Michael Weatherly's NCIS exit is the right thing for DiNozzo http://www.sheknows.com/entertainme...rlys-ncis-exit-is-the-right-thing-for-dinozzo
NCIS parting ways with Tony DiNozzo isn't as bad as everyone thinks.....It was a sad day when it was announced that fan-favorite Michael Weatherly would no longer be a part of NCIS after Season 13. I, like many others, was (and still am) devastated over the news. How can original character Tony DiNozzo be leaving? It just doesn't seem right, possible or real. Like when Ziva (Cote de Pablo) exited at the beginning of Season 11, it won't really sink in until both Tony and Weatherly say goodbye.I'm sure it's passed through fans' minds that NCIS won't be the same without Weatherly — and it definitely won't be. There is no NCIS without Tony. Some might even think the CBS drama will fail without him, and there's a very good chance that might be the case. Overall, a bunch of viewers probably see this as a bad move for Tony. That said, it's actually the right choice for Tony. I know, I know. I'm one of the biggest Tony supporters you will ever meet. He is the reason I started watching NCIS. However, I strongly believe this is what's best for the character. I'm sure many disagree with me, but let me argue my point

Jon Cryer's NCIS Return, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Binge and More https://www.yahoo.com/tv/tvline-items-jon-cryers-ncis-221838737.html

Donna Kauffman recaps ‘NCIS’: And we kick it all off with a stiff stiff http://happyeverafter.usatoday.com/2016/01/20/donna-kauffman-ncis-recap-season-13-deja-vu/
As I wait to find out whether or not Mom Nature is going to dump a few feet of snow on my head, and try really hard not to think about the fact that Michael Weatherly is leaving NCIS by the end of this season — much less how they’re going to write him off, because, let’s face it, that ends rather badly for more exiting characters than not — we open this week’s episode with Bishop writing a personal letter to the president. President Truman. No, really. As for why? Something to do with how he was the founder of the original NSA, and how whatever has happened in the three days leading up to this letter writing has made her question everything that ever made her decide to become an agent. And how 2015 was bad, but 2016 hasn’t apparently opened in a good way, either. It’s an interesting open. Except for the part where I’m really tired of Quirky Bishop. Well, any Bishop, but …Oh, wait. I forgot to mention the part where the actual opening featured an overly perky garbage man helping a grumpy garbage guy unstick a frozen load of trash, only to have a dead body swing out from the stash. A really stiff stiff. As it were. So, somewhere between that moment and Bishop writing to good ol’ Harry, all kinds of bad stuff happened. Yeah. I dunno. Let’s watch and find out.

NCIS Mega Buzz: Bishop's Divorce May Lead to Her "Unraveling" http://www.tvguide.com/news/ncis-sp...gnews&partnerid=yahoo&FTAG=YHF09b6e7d&ref=yfp
Nothing seems certain for Ellie Bishop (Emily Wickersham) on NCIS anymore. In the aftermath of her divorce, we've already seen her call her career choice into question. But that won't be the only shakeup she experiences."Divorce throws anyone for a loop, especially in these circumstances," Wickersham tells TVGuide.com. "She has it seemingly sewed together in so many ways and is kind of a perfectionist oftentimes. This has really thrown a wrench into her whole thing. ... It'll be hard for her. We'll see a bit of unraveling."

"NCIS" has been hit by some big departures in recent years but one actor that has stayed loyal is Sean Murray. The 38-year-old has played Special Agent Timothy McGee on the naval drama since its 2003 debut and says he isn’t going anywhere.Cote de Pablo, popular as former Mossad agent Ziva David, quit "NCIS" in 2013. NCIS: Meet the Female Fed Who Will Join Gibbs' Team for Season 14 http://tvline.com/2016/01/27/ncis-season-14-tess-new-agent-character-spoilers/
To be introduced in time for the Season 13 finale, the CBS drama is seeking a “name” actress to play “Tess,” an FBI Special Agent in her late 30s who has recently transferred to D.C. from New York City’s Counter-Terrorism Unit. Described in the tentative casting breakdown as “quick-witted, sarcastic, shrewd” and “two parts bulldog, one part sweet kitten,” the G-woman can just as easily keep up with a group of politicians talking at a black-tie fundraiser as she can truck drivers at a roadside diner. In her mind, sleep and sex are “overrated” while a good martini and a rare bacon cheeseburger aren’t.A three-time divorcée (because the husbands apparently “can’t keep up with her”) who has no children, Tess is content acting as “Mamma Bear” to any co-worker who needs a shoulder to lean on. Just don’t make her angry, because that’s when she tends to ruffle even her superiors’ feathers.
