that is a stupid change, as it means going further down in out of UHF into the VHF frequencies. I wonder why they are shifting them down. Someone else want the UHF spectrum?
its just a remap. We have a couple examples like that in Minneapolis
In the analog days we had 2 PBS stations, KTCA 2 & KTCI 17...both owned by Twin Cities Public Television. KTCA is on RF34 and KTCI is on RF23. 6 months before the conversion they merged them together on the PSIP info. SO we have this
2-1 PBS (RF34)
2-2 The MN channel (RF34)
2-3 TPT Life (think Create) (RF23)
2-4 Aeronautical weather (RF34)
Now 5 & 45 did the same thing. Both are owned by Hubbard (the same folks who started USSB back in the day). KSTP 5 is on RF35 and KSTC45 is on RF45. So now the PSIP shows
5-1 KSTP (RF35)
5-3 MeTV (RF45)...coming soon
5-4 ThisTV (RF45)
5-45 KSTC (RF45)
45-1 & 45-2 are just loops on how to rescan
The goofy one in the bunch is why they moved 5-2 which had reruns of news and the locals shows to 45-5 (RF35)
Mike I've seen this done in many markets where companies own 2 different stations.
