Hi Guys,

I have a question. I noticed Sadoun has a Fortec 240 cm (6 foot) dish on sale for $135.00. Depending on the lnb, etc. How good a deal is this and is this size dish big enough for c band with a better lnb? Thanks for your time and your information. Have a nice day.

Jim

What material and construction is the dish?

I have always read that 8.5' is the smallest C band that will offer good reception, but that may have been for the aluminum mesh.

It won't be big enough for c-band in North America. Under 10 feet and you start to get interference from sats spaced at 2 degrees apart.

Thanks!

Thank you the reply. I kinda thought it was too small. I just needed views from a few wiser individuals to confirm my thoughts. Have a nice day! :)

Your best bet is to look around and grab a 10' free or for a small fee off someone, look for one with the tight mesh holes. Good luck.

not sure about the 2.4m dish but i got a 90cm dish
the mounting hardware on mine was rusted after 1 month and be careful not to chip any paint on the reflector during assembly, it will rust also.
The dish is painted super bright white, quite a eyesore.
other than that no problems.

Is it worth upgrading?
