Dish is coming to replace my first gen hopper tomorrow with the new hopper that was released. Will my recordings on my old Hopper transfer over? Or do I need to do something so I don't loose the recordings I have? Im hoping that everything will transfer to the new hopper, and I wont have to readd timers, or shows.

You need to hook up an external hard drive to the old Hopper and transfer those recordings that you want to keep to it. You can't transfer Hopper to Hopper. Use the System Wizard to Backup your timer and remote settings.

Thanks, have about 10 HD shows, wonder how big of external drive I need. The system wizard is found where, one of the menus?

And just to be sure, don't use a hard drive that has other stuff on it that you want to keep. It will be reformatted & only for Dish use; you can't share it with a PC.
