Is there any benefit using the 811 with an analog 32" TV with component inputs? Or should I use the standard 301 receiver? Thanks.

nope the 811 is HD it would work in SD mode but no benefits :)

Using an 811 will allow you to watch your local OTA digital stations so that would be a benefit.

Thanks guys.

I forgot about the OTA benefit. I don't think the 301 has an input for an OTA antenna.

The 811 will also mix stations from a neighboring DMA into your guide with the Dish Locals.
I use it to mix the Baltimore and Harrisburg stations into my guide with my Dish Supplied Atanta locals. :D

Baltimore's PBS station (Maryland Public Broadcasting) has PBS Kids as a digital sub-station which Dish Network does not carry.
