I would like to get Star Choice in the USA. Has anyone here successfully installed a SC system in the South? I'm in northern NC. Is it really difficult to find the signal? Does anyone know a good place to buy the equipment for a nice price?I have put in several Dish EV and DTV systems and was wondering if it woud be much more difficult??Thanks

I am thinking that if it is possible to get a signal in the south that you may have to have a larger dish if you have more problems with getting a signal in depending on how far south you go.

Is Mike Kohl at Global Communications a respected source for equipment?

Thanks.
Yes he is. But like everything else, sometimes Canadian SC dealers will put items on EBay - and sometimes you can get a deal.

Products to avoid:
The earliest SC receivers were single satellite capable only - they require an external 22khz tone generator to get F2 - so avoid 420 series, 411 and early 410 receivers. Only get a 921 if you have a BUD and want VCII service as well

Telstar 7 is now more....
