Hey,

I live outside of Denver and because of some politics and red tape, we do not have full power OTA HD yet, so I have to get my HD locals through DISH cause I live too far from the low power antennas. I was wondering if I drop the HD package and pay the enabling fee, would my locals change to SD? Or would they stay HD and I would lose all the other HD Channels?

Thanks!

Tim

I recently dropped the HD Package and I still get my local's in HD. (Portland, OR) I made sure to ask the guy on the phone and he said that i would still pay the 5.99/mth but I would get my local's in HD.

If you own your 622, not leased, you can subscribe to SD locals and you still get HD locals. There is the HD enabling fee of $6 plus the DVR fee.

You can get just HD Locals and nothing else with a ViP211 and $11 a month - and much better quality than NPS SD DNS.

Pocket Dish

Upgrading to HD - Need New Dish and other ?'s
