Very goofball list.

The only undefeated all the way to the SB should assure you the #2 spot for sure, but ONLY to the 1985 Bears, but in reality the 1972 Fins most likely deserve that #1 spot just for being perfect in a much tougher era.

WHAT? No 1976 Oakland Raiders? CRAZY! The list was comprised of too many "recent memory" teams with weak divisions/scheduals, in a watered down, post-1995 over marketed and hyped league.

Dragon I will give you the 1978 Steelers as #2 or #3 behind either of two above, but with an 11-5 regular season and a SB win they still don't make the top 10 with all the other great teams. Even being the first 6 seed to take it if they do.

#5, #9, #10 are questionable; very good but better teams were left off.

I do like the criteria of the list though. Have to be a Super Bowl winner and the list can only select a franchise once.

Should change the name of the list to Top 10 teams if the Suoer Bowl era! There were many good teams that played before that time as well.

The list is crap. The Cowboys in the 1990's as well as the 49ers had the best teams money could buy right before the salary cap. The cowboys even had hired guns on the kickoff teams. Those teams would have easily dismantled any that they faced.

Id put the 94 superbowl champs up against anyone. They would run all over them, The O line would beat them up until they wouldnt want to play the 4th quarter. Put 8 in the box and die that way if you chose. Aikman would kill you. And the defense was just as dominating.

All modern era teams. And Lombardi's Packers were probably as good as Holmgren's.

They would get bitch slapped by most of the teams on that Top 10 list - "Best of all time"? Not even close.

Opinions are like a$$holes and the cowboys would have ripped ALL of those teams a new one. They had the first owner to really put his money where his mouth was and spent all the money he could for the best players available. Even specialists on special teams. It would have been no contest.

I think the list is pretty dumb. I really dont like the criteria of only being allowed to chose one team per franchise, and limiting the years to excluded the original Packers team is a joke.

Ive thought about the Pats place in history quite a bit. The salary cap hurts when stacking up team vs team. I know the team was weak at WR and RB. The best team they had was two years ago and they had a WR playing corner.

I know front office in New England would have spent the money if they could have to improve weaknesses. I guess Im really not sure if they are one of the top ten in history, but I know what theyve accomplished in a time of free agency is just mind boggling.

I think if you look at todays teams there is some sacrifice of greatness.

The colts great offense above avg defense
The Steelers great defense above avg offense
The Seahawks above average offense above average defense
The Bengals great offense above average defense

If you look at those older teams like Dallas, Pitt, and San Fran. they were loaded on offense and defense! The San Fran teams during the runs with Montana and Young had great offenses and great defenses.

Im partial to the '86 Bears...They didnt beat teams they destroyed them.

Personally i think the teams of this decades are weak (exception the patriots) compared to the 90's and 80's superbowl teams. I am a Cowboys fan but I'm not goin to diminish other teams that have been or are better!!

I agree and what we are forgetting is that they won the last superbowl without a coach. LMAO Barry Switzer??? comeon. That team was so stacked it could almost coach itself, infact if Jimmy Johnson had stayed he could have easily won 5 straight superbowls.

Id love to see the 86 bears vs one of those 90's cowboys teams. I dont think any defense could smack around Larry Allen, Nate Newton, Eric Williams and Mark Stepnoski in their prime. It just isnt going to happen.
