I finally upgraded from H20 to HR20 and have installed it using the existing one cable from the dish to the HR20. This works, but does not allow me to watch one program and record another.

D says they will send out an installer to either: add another cable between the dish and the HR20, OR, add a FTM.

What is a FTM? Do I want the FTM, or an addational cable?

Thanks for any info. Rod

SWM = Single Wire Multiswitch. FTM was the first name for it. I think that stood for Frequency Translation Module, but SWM is less confusing. If all of your receivers are capable of SWM/FTM operation then just go with it.

Thanks, I'll use it. Seems easier then adding a new cable. I was just afraid it wasn't as good.
