Remembering that CES Is hectic, what would you guys like to see?

Tivo ... tivo... tIvo.... TiVo... and TIVO.....

Apparently they have a new box comming ou a little more slim line then the next with a multistream cable card .

Also it would be nice if they show or talk about how in depth the HR to Tivo transformation will be.

oh yeah and tivo.

News to me - I have an Oppo. Have to investigate.

Other items you mention are interesting, but not enough to make CES a hit this year. IMHO. But best to everyone where those items strike home a little better.

You'll need to go to the Oppo website and download the beta firmware to a thumb drive or burn to a cd as being beta it is not an automatic upgrade. The software works on the BD-83 and BD-83SE only. Last night I was using the chess game application to show my wife how to play chess. Surprised me she never learned. It's a little awkward moving chess pieces around the board with the navigation arrows.

Vurb- I haven't heard of any new design like a book computer but Apple is said to introduce it's Tablet computer and that is supposed to be always connected. Not too much known about it yet but lots of rumors. It won't be at CES as Apple will have it's own show in SF.

Stonecold- I'll be on the lookout for TIVO but currently they will only have a meeting room, maybe a press conference. I've never seen TIVO have a booth at CES.

1 thing

One thing about the ext HDD. Right now to delete anything you have to stop playing it. Then to delete it one has to find the video again and go into it. Then it can be deleted.

Yeah I know I been a couple times when I use to work for another part of the company.

But like to see the rumblings about next gen hd tivos ( standalone ) and any updates on the dtivo department, as things are pretty mum around here.

hi guys

I wanted to make sure you knew about the THX Video Training Room Open House on Saturday evening. It is from 7-9 PM at the Boulder Station Casino. Please go to THX Video Tech.com | Learn:Forums - Train:Classes - Shop:Tools and complete the info form to get an invitation. There will be food and beverages available.
Just signed up. :) I missed your other post and my wife just pointed it out to me.

I hope other SatelliteGuys members can make it. :)

Please cover Charlie's response to the suggestion that the new pricing scheme could produce decreased revenue due to customer changes to their equipment and/or programming (let alone churn), since the economy makes people very resistant to increases in their monthly costs.

Thanks !

I want to know if Samsung's,LG's,& Panasonic's Blu-ray players will have 7.1 analog output for 2010. Otherwise,I need to buy Panasonic's or Samsung's current models while they're still in stock. Also, will Toshiba have an newer(affordable) model TV for 2010 like their current REGZA 42ZV650U? I'm not so much interested in the LCD-LED version unless it's as affordable as the REGZA 42ZV650U. I didn't check to see if VIZIO would be there, but I'm interested if they are putting out an updated model of their SV421XVT.
