Will a DP34 work with a 622?

Of course, that's what they were made for. I used one for years until I needed another sat, and then went to the Dpp44

yes it will work - but only if you run two lines to the receiver.

the DP34 doesn't work with the DPP separator modules.

That is exactly what I needed to know. So if I want a single line I need a DPP switch?

Correct, as in a DPP33.
