What is a good satellite to find feeds on, the other day I thought I found some NBC feeds but the video looked scrambled. I could hear heroes audio though. Do I need to input some settings to make those visible, or will I just be able to see a feed? I'm pretty new to this, but looking forward to having some fun.

Galaxy 10 is a popular place!! Depends on what you want to see. Take some time to search the sats and you will figure out quickly which ones have the
type of channels you like. There are some nbc feeds that are either HD signals or some other format that most regular fta boxes won't pick up. If you have c-band dish (big dish) you can find nbc feeds that aren't scrambled.

Most of the feeds that you can hear the audio to but can not see the video are using a mpeg2 4:2:2 studio format, if you have a satellite PC tuner card you can view 4:2:2 and HD :)

Galaxy10r has a lot of constant programing.

If your looking for feeds the best satellites to look at are between 72°W - 93°W not all satellites have feeds at all times.

If you can you really should do a blind search of all satellites available from your location.

about how many channels do you get on the galaxy r10, I got about 5, two education channels and some labeled volkswagon but there was nothing on.

I get everything on TheList under that satellite, on 11720 and 11800 I get a total of 33 channels, plus the others you mentioned.

What size dish do you have? the signals can be hard to receive if your dish is small.
