Fox Business Channel!

Fwiw

this of course means nothing, but one of the radio personalities (Dave Ramsey) who will now have a primetime tv show on FBN has been saying all week that FBN will be available on Direct and Dish at the date of launch. He does give the channel for Directv, but says that the channel number for Dish has not yet been announced.

Thanks for the info. I hope we get it on Dish from the launch next week.

Should FBN launch of Dish Network, any bet that it will land on Channel 206 (Fox News Channel is on Channel 205)?

If FBN is at all like Fox News then who would want it? I'd hate to base any of my portfolio decisions on a one sided, biased right wing fringe group's "reporting" of the financial markets.

I can just imaging the news ticker running at the bottom...

Pharmaceutical News - Merek might be working on new wonder drug to cure homosexuals. Pfizer might agree to place warning label on Viagra that states the pill is only for married couples. Energy News - Exxon might say not to worry about peak oil as earth might be proven to be 13,232 years old which would lend hope that fossil fuels only take hundreds of years to create not millions...

No thanks. I say lets not have it and that way we can't get secretly charged for it.

I'll trade CNN. HNN, Bravo, Oxygen, MSNBC, CNBC and a few more useless channels for FBN.
Of course I'd give them away for free if the truth be known.

But I do want FBN...

Don't knock it if you don't know what it's about.

I know it is Fox, which is a very well defined brand. There isn't much guessing as to what it is about. The indisputable level of bias and bad reporting has surely been inherited from its parent company, Newscorp.

I'll keep real news like CNN and MSNBC and ask that my channel lineup not be polluted with any more Murdoch offerings.

So another crappy channel is to be added instead of LOGO. Great like we need another feaking news channel.

You're entitled to your opinion, but this is the wrong forum to talk about channel biases. The discussion was if Dish Network would add it, not a debate on the content of the channel! Take your argument to the proper chat room if you want to rant!

I think Dish will add it as an la carte offering (like HBO or Showtime for instance.) You will be able to get all your identical genre Fox programming in one fatal shot (Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Reality.)

There, was that on topic enough? ;)

My guess is Fox will basically give this channel to Dish for free, to get it into as many homes as quickly as possible. Murdoch also owns the Wall Street Journal.

Fox Buisness Launched this morning. Any news on Dish carrying the Channel Yet?

I see it was launched on Directv and Many Cable outlets.
