This info was posted at DBS a while ago and has been quite accurate so far:

DBSTalk.Com - View Single Post - FSN Midwest HD

The remainder of the RSNs all have a launch plan for HD, indiacted in this post. We are now up to part D, and all the others have launched as indicated except those in part A (MSG & FSNY) which did not happen for unknown reasons.

Which RSNs are available in HD on a 24/7 basis?
oDIRECTV will offer the following Regional Sports Networks (RSNs) in HD on a 24/7 basis. The following charts provide HD launch date and HD channel number(s).

Chart A - Status Unknown - Did not launch
FSNY Sep 19, 2007 (tentative) 624
MSG Sep 19, 2007 (tentative) 621

Chart B - LAUNCHED
CSN Chicago Oct 1, 2007 (tentative) 640 or 680
CSN Mid-Atlantic Oct 1, 2007 (tentative) 629 or 681
NESN Oct 1, 2007 (tentative) 623 or 682
SNY Oct 1, 2007 (tentative) 625 or 683
YES Oct 1, 2007 (tentative) 622 or 684

Chart C - LAUNCHED

FSN Prime Ticket Oct 17, 2007 (tentative) 653
FSN Southwest Oct 17, 2007 (tentative) 643
FSN West Oct 17, 2007 (tentative) 652

Chart D - Launched 10/17 except CSN West, these will be games only, not 24/7
oDIRECTV will offer all of the HD games broadcast on the following RSNs.
CSN West Oct 17, 2007 (tentative) 656-1
FSN Midwest Oct 17, 2007 (tentative) 647-1
FSN Pittsburgh Oct 17, 2007 (tentative) 628-1

Chart E - These are not slated to change and remain spotbeam only
oDIRECTV will continue to offer HD games from RSNs in Chart E below in Spot Beam Territory:
Altitude 97 Denver DMA
FSN Arizona 96 Phoenix DMA
FSN Bay Area 96 San Francisco DMA
FSN Florida 96 Miami/Orlando/Tampa DMAs
FSN New England 96 Boston DMA
FSN North 96 Minneapolis DMA
FSN Northwest 96 Seattle DMA
FSN Ohio 96 Cleveland DMA
FSN Rocky Mountain 97 Denver DMA
FSN South 96 Atlanta DMA
SportSouth 96 Atlanta DMA
SportsTime Ohio 96 Cleveland DMA
Sun Sports 96 Miami/Orlando/Tampa DMAs

The reason I'm posting this is that the info from the original poster has been VERY acurate so far, and if it remains this way, we are very near the end of the RSN expansion for the near future, perhaps until D11 is up.

Not what I wanted to see, but that looks to be their plan for now.

So with the exception of CSN West, FSN Pittsburgh and FSN Midwest, SNY, & FSN-NY I think we are looking at the end of the RSN expansion for 2007.

Bummer if true. I was really hoping that FSN South would be CONUS by the time Duke Basketball really gets going. But since the Sunday Night game is a FSN-wide contract, and the other FSN's are CONUS, I probably won't miss a game on Sunday's. But it's those Wed/Thur night games on FSN that have me worried. :(

i've been talking with a supervisor in the email center the past few evenings. i've been having problems getting my local rsn hockey games in hd so she called me sunday and monday. i asked her last night what the plan was. she said they would continue launching a few new hd networks a week through next year and the rsn's were a top priority.

you can interpret that anyway you'd like. but i think anyone from directv who cares enough to call and talk with me at great length until my problem is resolved, shouldn't be taken lightly.

I'd like to see DirecTV to add FSN Wisconsin to this list. FSN Wisconsin isn't even on 24/7. DirecTV only turns it on when the Bucks or Brewers are on.

I'd even take FSN Wisconsin SD if I could at least watch the shows. We don't even get a fulltime RSN, let alone a RSN in HD. For a company that says they are the sports leader, they dropped the ball on this one. Even the local cable company show FSN Wisconsin 24/7.

I still don't trust any list that includes MSG and FSNY - history is proving me right here...

Well, yeah... of course the local cable company shows FSN Wisconsin 24/7. It's a local cable company in Wisconsin.

I'm bummed that FSN Midwest is going to be games only and FSN Cincinnati wasn't even on that list...? I don't remember where it was, but I saw another list somewhere that had both of those listed as coming in HD 24/7 this year...

I have heard that they are indeed going to be on D* shortly - and I have been skeptical like you to report it. But I see that DirecTV is clearly using the logo on their new ads - and I don't think they would do that without permission to use a logo - that is clearly against the copyright laws.

I would expect Cablevision to sue immediately for false advertising if it is not true.

Is it jsut me but I dont see FSN South on the list. I am looking forward to it as well.

I updated section D with today's launches.

I guess the sad thing is that if this info is right we are reaching the end of the RSN launches except the two missing for NY.

I'm not sure if they want D11 up for the rest to come off spotbeam, or if they are planned for November/December and the list didn't go that far.

I hope they aren't done, as these RSNs being up in HD have a major impact on the value of the sport packages, and getting RSN viewers outside of the spotbeam area being able to see their home teams in HD.

thought i saw in another thread that they are spotbeaming MSG HD to the buffalo NY area. So maybe they have a contract for that MSG HD, but not the NYC one?? Of course, this creates a lot of confusion for all those NYC sports fans, maybe a deliberate move to confuse by D*. Everything I've seen indicates satellite will NEVER have MSG HD and FSNY HD, maybe MSG HD buffalo?? But TWC in buffalo boasts the sabres available in HD on cable only, so i'm really confused.

At least for now I'm spared having to run out and get both D* and E* together and pay for NHLCI twice just to get FSNY HD. I'm a devils fan in case you couldnt tell.

the only thing that doesn't match up is why FSN:NY-HD is on the list, that channel doesn't apply for the buffalo market.

Wait a minute - is NESN really broadcasting now in HD?

I know there was some talk that some of the HD channels were not displaying correclty in HD, and being a Red Sox follower, it irritated the Hell out of me that
I'm watching it on Dish and being constantly reminded it's in HD, but Dish don't carry
it that way!! So anyone actually watching it on 623 on D in HD?

its in hd full time and has been for quite awhile. its also now on the conus beam so if you have the sports pak, you'll see most of the hd programming.

These channels are useless. So far nothing has been shown in HD on FSNW and FSNPRIME. Every sporting event should be shown in HD. If TLC can show bringing a baby home in HD why cant these channels show Kings and Ducks in HD. PURO HD!!!!!!!!!

There's a Lakers preseason game on Fox Sports West tonight. It'll be interesting to see if it's in HD. Though since it's preseason, hard to really draw a lot of conclusions.
