finding codes and programming remote

i had to replace my remote (113143) for my 510. i have two questions:
-is there a way to find what the codes i used to control tv, vcr etc from my old remote?
-are there instructions somewhere i can use to program my new remote?

Did Dish send you the new remote or did you eBay it ? If it's from Dish, they include an instruction booklet. The remote for my 622 has a key-sequence that will flash back the current stored code(s).

what brand is your tv?....
Here is a list of codes i have memorized that work for the following brands..
RCA/GE/Proscan 503
Sony.. 500
Zenith...501.
Toshiba....617
Sharp ..605
JVC..557
Phillips/Maganovox 566( except newer LCD models)
Sanyo. 590
Mitsubishi 504...check that one to be sure,..I think it's right though
Panasonic...700
Hitachi..552
Samsung..Now this one I am not sure..But do a code seacrh..Press and hold the TV button, then press tv power(red), then press the arrow up or down key one press at a time until the device turns off..I usually get it within a minute or two.
These codes pretty much work all models for these brands

it is an ebay remote so did not come with instructions.
