All Celtics Home Games in HD

I live in the SF bay area. I am a big Celtics fan.

Last night was the first time I'd ever seen Directv put the Celtics feed from channel 620 (Comcast new england ) on channel 95. Its like they pick and choose. Comcast states that every Celtic home game will be in HD. As D* subscribers, we'll have to see if there going to be on the league pass dash channels (i.e. 751-1 ) or channel 95 ( channel dedicated to special sport programming dicated by D* ). Here lies the problem with that. D* dictates which games they show on channel 95. So this creates problems if they don't put the HD feed on the dash channels ( i.e. 751-1 ) .

i.e. Celtics play host to the Hawks tommorrow ( Friday ). It should be broadcasted in HD as Comcast has stated all home celtic games are in HD, just like last year. As of now, if you tune to the program guide, there is another game scheduled to be on channel 95 at the time of the Celtics game ( Raptors ), and there is no HD dash channel feed available at the moment ( at least its not showing it will be in HD like it normally would) on League Pass. So it would seem were not going to receive the broadcast in HD format because there is no dedicated HD feed for channel 620. This could definitely change by tommorrow. But thats my guess as of now.

As of now, when I'm searching for the Celtics game in HD on Directv, I check channels 94, 95, 96, 601 (NBA TV) and all of the NBA League Pass channels including there " dash " partners ( League Pass starts at channel 751 ). I'm hoping there will soon be a 620-1 channel setup.

The game was on COMCAST SPORTSNET NEW ENGLAND

They just do not put every game on YET!

And that's my main point, there will not be as many hd home games on directv as last season, and since my source is confident that no negotiations have begun for comcast sports ne to be in hd on directv for regional subs on a partime or fulltime channel, it's likely to stay like this for a while.

My source has confirmed directv has not even begun the negotiating process to have comcast new england sports celtics games in hd. Formerly this channel was fox sports new england and directv carried most of their home games in hd on channel 96.

More celtics games should be on the national networks this year, but this is still bad news. Virtually all the other providers in the boston dma are offering home celtics games in hd.

Ok, so why not get the other provider if that is what your interested in.

ah, the unreliable, non-existent source strikes again. maybe, questioner is like swanni, just steal someone else's info and claim it is yours.

to understand the hd programming on the - 1 channels......those are broadcasts from rsn's already on the conus beam. if your rsn isn't conus yet, the hd game will not be broadcast here (unless the other team's is and that feed is in hd).

channel 95 is still being used for rsn's still be broadcast on spotbeam. i suspect this will become a moot point very, very soon!!

Stay tuned - a very reliable source says that CSN NE will be NATIONAL CONUS THIS MONTH. Done deal I hear.

No ice - even though the plan is to move ALL of the RSN-HD channels (both full and part time ones) to MPEG4 CONUs channels, they will still be providing selected games in the 90's for the legacy subs for another year or so.

And CSN NE in HD is on channel 830 in the Boston DMA as well. What is your issue?

Unfortunately, most directv subs are not as lucky as I am. Since I have useful sources when it comes to directv, I am here to help and inform.

Geeez, I am glad I am not as "lucky" as you are. Oh, and you are not here to help and inform, you never have been, never will be. You for some reason are here to throw whatever wrench you can into D*. You seek out and post any, no matter how irrelevant, tiny negative you can whenever you can. Seems to me that your meal of crow didn't teach you anything. How quickly we forget.
