I just have a quick question that will be easier to post here than doing tons of research...so excuse my lazy effort not to search. One of the greatest features for my Dish 622, I think, is the ability to switch to dual mode, for seperate viewing in two different rooms. Is there a Directv HD DVR that can do this? Just curious.

Thanks Rad. I keep reading about all these people wanted to bail from dish, because Directv is adding all a lot of HD now. People should consider the hardware before they jump. I think the dual mode is a great feature, and would be hard to give up. Besides how many channels that Directv has right now, that Dish doesn't, have much actual HD content anyway.

The TV2 option is nice for some folks, won't do anything for me since I have a few HDTV's and TV2 is only SD output.

As for the # of channel, if you don't count the Voom channels D* has a bunch more. As for how much HD they show, IMHO if the show you want to watch on a channel is in HD I don't care if all the other shows are in SD.

Yep, I'd sure like to be able to order the MLB Extra Innings package, but the Superstations and the 622 keep me with Dish. I just have to deal with watching baseball using my HTPC - not HD, but better than giving up my 622.
