If your already in a commitment, will you have to go to a 24 month commit to get this pack??

No HD RSNs at all? Even with the Multi-Sport package? Other than that it looks very attractive to me and my three HD TV sets.

The first question that comes to mind for me is whether this will be a fixed set of channels, or if the intention is to add to this package when HD channels are added to th4e lineup. I would hope the latter.

I think this is a great idea, but IMO ahead of itself in the fact that there are not many children's choices, nor CNN, and a bunch of additional channels that I am sure will be there after AMC-14 goes up.

Once there are some more channels to put in this package, I feel it is a sure winner, and something that needs to be offered by DirecTV as well. But it does lead the way, and deserves kudos for that.

It appears..

to me that other than the premium movie channels, etc., you cannot subscribe to any to the regular channel packages (100, 200, etc.). Correct ?

It also seems to me that this would be available to any current sub who is NOT under a current commitment (18 mo., etc.). Would that also be true?

Commitment does not matter.

wonder why it dosent give you access to the "76" national HD channels ;)

edit: THis is great news as I think alot (small precentage of total subscribers I know) of people will like to have this on this forum.

Woo hoo. I'm there! But i hope that any additional channels that E* adds also get added to this package by default. i.e. SciFi HD, USA HD, etc.

I think I'll go with this and the HD locals, and drop the AT250 and Multi-Sport package.

When college football starts up again, maybe I'll add AT100+ for the HD RSNs.

For sure..

That's the problem, you don't know what E* will or won't do:rolleyes:. The only channel that I am missing right now that is out of the HD package as of today (that I can quickly think of) is SciFi...
I will wait until it is added and then seriously consider dumping the AEP, then look at possibly a couple premiums if the above mentioned "premium' HDs don't materialize for $9.99 a month..
