Cocoa Beach Baby!
Ok, the recent storms we had here destroyed my dish. My FTA was truly FREE. I bought this house and it had a 90cm in the back yard, and a buddy gave me an FTA reciever. Anyways. the 90cm is toast, no chance of repair. A tree fell on it. Trust me, it was NO small tree either!

So I figured I would check out some of the sponsors. I found what I wanted, good price too! The downer, shipping. The shipping makes it out of my price range.

I need a new dish. I would like to go bigger, but I just can't afford to have it shipped. If anyone knows of a reputable dealer in Central Florida Please, let me know.. thanks!

I know it dosn't help now but I used to be stationed at Patrick AFB on HWY A1A in 1984-1988..... At that time, The only FTA dealer was a huge store on US1 in Melbourne. Right across the street from Jim Rathman car dealership (if it's still there) Used to be a Heilig-Meyers furniture store right next door. Don't remember the address and I looked online for you got no info. Might be still there. The other one was in Merrit Island right off the Pineda Causway.......

Im about 35 miles west of you
I dont think theres any BUD dealers left in the area.
Pizza dishes have taken over.
I found a 10 fter about 6 months ago and went an picked it up
and replaced my 8 fter.
I saw a couple for sale in the area(used) but you will need to remove them.

If your in the area check out Astro Too ( electronics resale shop ) in Melbourne , you can call them but you may still not find what you want .

It's a big place with trailers outside , you'll probably get directions on where you can find the dishes on the property , he has had many primestars and occasionally some bigger channel master dishes , some forum members here have had good luck.

Like I said if your in the area it's worth stopping by incase they have something , I drove from North Orlando to Melbourne and was disappointed because the gentleman who I spoke to didn't want to check his inventory and swore he had some weingards and other worthy dishes , unfortunately they were bought up by somebody else and he forgot about it.

You don't have to spend alot on a dish , if you search the threads you can find one on a budget .

Drive around and search for old buildings being re-roofed or demolished that might have dishes on the roof. VSAT dishes (like the ones you see on gas stations and other businesses for credit card transactions) will work well for FTA. You might also look for any remaining Primestar dishes, most property owners will let you have such dishes for free or close to free for taking them down.

Do some yellow pages/google searching. It has helped me find a few local dealers but no one special. I'm in South Florida and I feel the pain too. There is a place known as Dish Jockey in Palm Coast, FL. It's northern Florida but probably worth the drive.
